FairCricket
Form guide (last five completed matches, most recent first)Afghanistan: WWWWWSri Lanka: LLLWL Watch out for Sri Lanka's opening pair of Dinesh Chandimal and Tillakaratne Dilshan have enough experience between them to understand the value of the Powerplay in slow, low conditions.Mohammad Shahzad's passion has been visible on and off the field, clapping and counselling his team-mates through the end overs. However, his primary role is with the bat, and he has found a blend between aggression and caution, with ones and twos becoming an increasingly vital part of his game. Team news Despite a fluid batting and bowling order, Afghanistan's XI is settled. With the pitch expected to play on the slower side, Afghanistan may opt for an extra spinner in place of Hamid Hassan.Afghanistan (probable): 1 Mohammad Shahzad (wk), 2 Noor Ali Zadran, 3 Asghar Stanikzai (capt), 4 Mohammad Nabi, 5 Gulbadin Naib, 6 Shafiqullah, 7 Samiullah Shenwari, 8 Najibullah Zadran, 9 Dawlat Zadran, 10 Rashid Khan, 11 Hamid Hassan/Amir HamzaLahiru Thirmanne made a 29-ball 41 and a 37-ball 45 at No. 3 in the warm-ups against New Zealand and Pakistan and is likely to keep his place. Malinga is still doubtful for this clash, and could be excluded as a preventive measure unless he has completely recovered from his "bone bruise".Sri Lanka (probable): 1 Dinesh Chandimal (wk), 2 Tillakaratne Dilshan, 3 Lahiru Thirimanne, 4 Milinda Siriwardana, 5 Angelo Mathews (capt), 6 Chamara Kapugedera, 7 Thisara Perera/Dasun Shanaka, 8 Nuwan Kulasekara, 9 Rangana Herath, 10 Sachithra Senanayake, 11 Dushmantha Chameera Pitch and conditions With the weather set to be fair, the captains and think-tank are likely to look down more than up. The pitch is likely to take plenty of turn, but provide even bounce. With sluggish conditions expected, the captains would look to bat on winning the toss. Mahaa Raavana
Sri Lanka's minnow bashing days are over.. in the past we used to walk all over associates making some record or the other along the way..(highest t20 score in an innings vs Kenya, restricting Canda to the lowest ODI score,Vaas picking up 4 wickets in the 1st over against Bang etc.) Well..not any more.in the 2015 WC Afghans nearly toppled us and in the Asia cup last month UAE could have easily beaten us had they held on to the nerves. So expect another humdinger today.. praying for a face saving SL win before the highly likely butt whipping in the following three games express bowling, Lala, Misbah and 1 other 4 Link to comment

chewy
I think the lions have the afghan's spots in this game. On flat eden track, the naan cooking leopard won't trouble the lions lately below par batting. If lions bat first watch out for one of Chandimal and Dilshan feasting on naans. Link to comment
sourab10forever
Will love to see AFG beat at least one team. All eyes on them. ^ at-least one of full members tweaker 1 Link to comment
sscomp32
SL are specialist associate bashers. They maybe minnows in between the full members but always and always turn up to bash associates. Specially Dilshan . And if Malinga plays expect a one sided mauling. Link to comment

chewy
excellent innings from the snow leopards 153/7A very challenging score, Lions in for an interesting chase Link to comment
Mosher
Najib looks like a good hitter. 6 and 4 of the first 2 balls he faced. Afg scores 153. Link to comment
sandeep
Love seeing Afghanistan do well. They are a brave team. This is a handy effort from them, very respectable. Almost a hundred runs in last 9 after losing 4 wickets. Most Associates would crumble from that point. SL will have to do really well to chase this down. Link to comment
zen
Bowling is leopards' strength so it would be interesting .... I wouldn't rule out an upset! Link to comment
