Mariyam
Over reaction much? Was Shoaib Akhtar being thin skinned or was the anchor condescending? Or just is Akhtar simply acting out his script? Does anyone have the dirt on this? tweaker and adi B 2 Link to comment
Ankit_sharma03
even i missed this, but i read on many tweets on twitter and tht to from indians and many of my freinds. They all said it was pretty childish behaviour from anchorAs the porgramme started post commercial break, akhtar already was looking pretty pissed off and jatin sapru was laughing like an immature Edited March 19, 2016 by Ankit_sharma03 Link to comment
jf1gp_1
Anchor has been a dick for sometime now. All said and done akhtar is an ex Pak player no matter what his differences with pcb or Pak players, at heart he is all green. Some anchor who hasn't picked a bat in his life keeps taunting him , am amazed it took him so long to lose his cool. Rightarmfast, adi B and Under_Score 3 Link to comment

Iconoclast
At least Shoaib cares about this team winning unlike the two buffoons Afridi and Waqar. Detonator and adi B 2 Link to comment
Adi_91
Must admit, I expect better from Jatin. Laughing like this doesn't look good on television and for a guest. He basically laughed at a guest to our country. Under_Score and Rightarmfast 2 Link to comment
Ironhide
I was watching it live, the anchor was immature and laughing at Shoaib Akhtar after the mauka song and Pakistan defeat, Shoaib is an emotional person, he bounced back after the break. Rasgulla 1 Link to comment

Ultimate_Game
The anchor was being a d**k and I completely understand where Akhtar was coming from. Any one of us would've flipped as well if we had been in Akhtar's shoes. Under_Score and New guy 2 Link to comment
Mariyam
Compare how Jadeja is treated on Pak TV with much respect despite bagging Afridi True. That is what happens when you have people who have nothing to do with cricket and having no particular insights in the studio. They end up relying on 'extras' to entertain. And then a faux pas is always waiting to happen. And this is all too common on TV now. Shows on retro Bollywood music hosted by musicians/lyricists themselves are always more fun to see than those by random anchors who have nothing new to add but keep belittling earlier singers on their sur.Any discourse on mainstream TV in India inevitably degenerates to a shouting match where points are not debated in a logical manner but from a perceived holier than thou position. And if not that, then the anchor tries to troll the panelists who he has invited himself. The screaming matches and whatnot make for entertaining viewing ( at least for the first few times) but is very poor content-wise. /end rant New guy 1 Link to comment

Ultimate_Game
What was the conversation TranslateNothing much to translate. The anchor was sort of rubbing it in by smirking/chuckling when he reached out to Akhtar for comments. Akhtar was p*ssed, and rightly so IMO, and he asked the anchor why was he chuckling/smirking and why couldn't he ask for his comments/opinions in the right manner? After that the anchor was trying to find a way out. Quite petty and pathetic by the anchor and I hope he and the broadcaster faces some backlash. This was a great game, played in the right manner by both teams. Why spoil it in such a manner? tweaker and Adi_91 2 Link to comment

kosingh
Shoaib and other Pakistanis have been very gracious and respectful towards India during the last few years (whether for financial reasons or not). Even in defeat. Learn from them, Jatin. We aren't talking about dirty Bangladeshis here, who are poor players and poor losers. Pakistan is a good team and classy in defeat.
