Yar, it is a boundary ground 60meter boundary. We hit 17 4s and 4 6s. WI ten sixes and 19 4s. There we lost on a pitch on a pitch that had nothing for bowlers.

That's what I said it was a small ground with dew ..... I have already quoted the 4s and 6s numbers a long time ago on different threads

WE won the series in Aus.

We won the Asia Cup.

We reached the semi Finals.

We did better than what our team in current form really deserves.

No need for  Head banging and chest beating. No need for change of captaincy for now.

Let Kohli play his good form without pressure.Let him get better in limited over cricket.Let us watch him this IPL.

Playing the same stale team over and over,

not trying anything to make things happen.

please don't quote the bangla game that was a fluke thanks to those brainless mental midgets from Bangladesh.... As per Pandya he was trying for Yorkers in that over lol....just got lucky.

we won the games because Kohli is the greatest chaser of all time else we would have struggled against Pak and aus had we batted first.

stale captaincy, stubborn behavior and clear favoritism enough of this crap.

indian test team is so much more refreshing than the LOI teams.

anyways we beat Pak and gave bangla fans grief for an eternity.... That's enough I guess.

but Dhoni has to go

Hahahaaa....typical Indians. Yesterday you guys were praising Dhoni for giving Pandya last over against Bangladesh and now you guys are blaming him for this loss. The thing is your team was riding on luck and running out of luck today !!!

At least we are blaming our own team for the poor performance and not looking to blame every Tom Dick and Harry from other countries.

It is good to be lucky. WI was lucky too with the no balls. A wkts at the right time can turn a game, you never know .... Many of us have not been impressed with Dhoni's captaincy so.

5. Ind

  • Strengths: Kohli, home conditions
  • Weaknesses: The 5th bowling option which could be exploited by quality teams (non-Asian which it could play in KOs). The guys who share the 5th bowler's overs have not batted well either creating a neither here nor there situation in both batting and bowling. There is no leg-spinner in the squad as well. Captaincy too has been pathetic (so far only ahead of Afridi's)
  • Comments: It appears that the team may have already peaked so unless some of the others don't step up, along with if captaincy and selection does not improve, Ind could get KO by a quality team

In my book, if Ind is knocked out, it would be because of:

a) Playing too many bits and pieces cricketers in the 11 (Yuvi, Raina and Pandya) who did not perform adequately in any department

b) Ignoring specialists, who could have been more useful in helpful conditions

c) Not playing 11 based on horses for courses

d) Bad captaincy including overs allocation

e) 15 member squad selection

I have said this before. Dhoni has become like a dictator and he has no respect for others. Even today in the presentation, he said it was actually a bad toss to lose. So if he knew toss would be a factor, why didnt he make the necessary changes? Why play hacks and not give genuine quicks a chance? This loss is totally dhonis  responsibility n its time for him to be kicked out.

I don't think there is much Dhoni could have done regarding bowling changes. Rahane slow poke innings didn't give India chance.

Dew was too much, making Jadeja and Ashwin ineffective. Even when fielders diving on ground you could see water spraying off the grass.

Irony is, this two would have been deadly on the slow Eden Garden pitch.

Anyways lessons to learn for organisers next time, in T20, to give both teams even chances, things like dew factor need to be taken into account, either find method to remove it, or start earlier.
