Seriously ! How sensible for ICC to say like this for a global event ? ICC itself wants India to play guaranteed matches till Final only to make financial gain from a global event ? This statement shows how biased ICC is towards India in order to make sure they don't exit early. Is it fair for other countries ? Or, other countries have accepted this as a fact ?

 

In whichever way you want to defend it, for me it surely goes against the spirit of a game. ICC is the governing body of Cricket, they should not act on behalf of a certain team only to make financial gain. Then what's the point of having a governing body ? Thankfully Dave made ICC's position clear and it's publicly known now.

There has to be a limit of jlsy for Bcci and indian team

 

Yes, we got money but we have invested in our infrastructure also, look at most of our grounds now they are world class.

 

Look at the number of A-tour Bcci arrange for our teams. Look at other nations Wi, pak who have gone down the hill means they had resources at once they wasted it we didnt. 

 

We do well in Icc tournament so does that means thats becoz of Bcci power, in that case we shud have win all. 

 

Virat kohli magical innings was his talent skill and hardwork not bcci power

 

Bangladesh screwed up becoz of their idioticness not bcci power. 

 

IF player get banned for doping in pak, not bcci fault. Bcci didnt tell them to dope. N if u ask y our crickters dnt get caught well we dont do it and who so ever does it gets caught on domestic level. Eg one of our very fine prospects pradeep sanghawan was caught and banned. 

 

Chucking, we didnt ask ajmal to chuck, n to be honest his presence wnt have mattered to us he was there in champions trophy, asia cup n we bajaoed him . Also we won in all icc t20 game in which he was there. Also we had no issues with yasir shah, he was also carted around in 2015 Wc . HE doped and confessed so stop blaming bcci for everything. Bowlers who troubled us Monty, rabaada, Mustafzur, IRfan , junaid, Lyon are still playing if Bcci had to ban some one it wud have been them. 

 

Stop making excuses for ur failures and blame Bcci and Icc, M proud that there so much money and power that we have now atleast better than those day when it was ruled by whitemen. The Mike Dennis, Steve bucknor days.  

 

Problem with Pak, Bang, Aus, eng fans is that they cannot handle the rise of Indian cricket . They Cannot handle we have ipl and their player lure for it rather their own nations league. 

Look at our fielding skill and increase in bench strength , yes we have money and we are investing in right place.

We may not have perfect infrastructure but we are gettting better. Things dnt get fine overnight. We have cricketers in administration now unlike pakistan .

Xactly,which means Increase no of game for india due to more teams which also means more games for everyone but more from indian games Icc does benefit financially

 

I think these think India is gonna play extra games, or we ll beat those teams and get into next stages and they wnt b able to beat minnows.

ICC just said what makes financial sense for them.Doesnt mean that they favour India.Now what will ICC do if teams like BCB or ZC contribute next to nothing in ICC coffers.

No one is saying its India's fault to influence ICC. I haven't mentioned its BCCI or Ind's conspiracy. Please don't read too much in between lines and stick to the point that has been raised.

 

What I am saying, Should ICC get influenced by the monetary benefits of having more Indian matches in WC which might hamper the spirit of the game and fair play ?

What he meant by that is playing more group stage matches thereby ensuring each team will get a fair chance in order to qualify for the semifinal stage. You don't want a tournament where a single loss will result in a team getting knocked out.

Nobody wants to get out of the tournament playing only 1/2 matches. It applies to all. 2007 WC format was wrong. I am not denying that.

 

But how can ICC clearly say that "guaranteed 9 matches of India" ?? Why naming one particular country ? Why not saying "if countries can play 8/9 matches....." !

Its not irrelevant issues m talking about, my point is the mentality other countries have developed. So ur reading everything thats say India benefits, but not caring to read above or below. If u didnt get what he meant ill explain,

 

A. YEs, he has to say indian team becoz when indian team plays it generates more revenue becoz of audience and market. Does any other country offer u that . Nooooooooooooooooooooooo so why wud he tae any other countries name which doesnt even give u half a revenue as India wnt that make him stupid . 

 

B. Understand carefully, what he meant is Having more games means India play more games like every other team but those extra Indian games give u extra revenue. For eg if every team play 6 games so revenue wud also b from 6 games from india , having nine games means 3 extra game of revenue. N Indian team is mentioned becoz of revenue and large number of sponsors it attracts. Its not his problem that other dnt do , if they do whats his problem he ll happy the more moeny coming it but reality is they dnt.

 

C. If india gets more chances do does everyone, Rules are same for everyone. No rule is bend in favour of particular team. I dnt knw what are u whining about. Doesnt bang get more games to qualify. 

 

d. It benefits everyone most of all associate nations who gets more n more games, other teams like Sa, aus, eng have equal gamees and equal chances to progress. Ulitmately, its about playing well not the number of games. 

 

Stop reading everything with a pre concived notion that its all india advantage, have Icc said that they only give more games to India.  He has said the right thing Indian games does give u more revenue be it from sponsors, Tv coverage or anything.
