Mohd Irfan is 6'10" at least if not more. Steve Finn and Boyd Ranking are about 6'7-8"

Here's what i think. Height by itself is not going to get you far. Combine it with fast twitch fibres and above average muscle mass of the Caribbean region and you have a serious advantage. So while Jamaica's population may not have a particularly tall average height, the synergy between height and muscle mass means that those that do have the height are suited for top level sport.

Tall height gives you long levers i.e. reach. Long levers gives you reach whilst remaining reasonably still AND ball-striking momentum (momentum = force x distance from fulcrum). In T20 when the bowler is varying his line and length in the death overs, above traits are gold. No coincidence that Yuvraj Singh, probably our best tall batsman in recent times, managed six sixes off one over.

in the pic with ishant and gul Ishant atleast has 6-7 inches on gul..

he was measured initially at 6'8" by PCB...he does not have more than 3 inches on Ishant or Morkel in the matches they played together...no way he is more tan 6' 8-9" still riddiculously tall...esp for a pakistani..

those pics are not giving right idea. Ishant is 6'6". Gul and Asif both are 6'1-2". Here is both together.

The biggest joke is Wikipedia and some other sites stating that  Ishant is 6' 4" .

 

He is  6' 6".
