Debutant
Let me elaborate it a little more. These so called fans were raving about CSK with their lungis in their hands. They called themselves the die hard fans of CSK. But the moment CSK was banned, these so called die hard fans have moved on to become die hard fans of another teams. Truth be told these fake fans were only supporting CSK because CSK was very successful or some of the guys had man crush on Dhoni. If RCB is banned, we will stop watching IPL rather than supporting any other team. We will support RCB even if it does not have Kohli or Gayle or AB. But clearly CSK never had any true fan following. bulbul
Absolutely. The moment Dhoni moved to RPS suddenly new thread mushroomed "Rally behind Pune" by their old mascot. :)) adi B
bulbul
Even funny thing is earlier Pune team was mocked ruthlessly by CSK supporters who now suddenly turned into chameleons and finding how nice Pune is :))) adi B
bulbul
Only true CSK fan I give credit is VVvvvvvS Laxman who stood by the team in good and bad situations...he is the only poster bravely posting during IPL final when Mayappan betting scandal broke. maniac
maniac
I was agreeing with OP till he hilariously brought up the RCB part TBH CSK has a champion legacy.... So even when it was disbanded, fans of the players followed them to other teams....much like when the DC conspiracy happened and the owner was screwed by his accountants from out of state...we fans don't care about what happens in a corporate board room, we just followed the team which came back with a bang with a new name as we had a legacy of being a champion team. ifor eg if WI is renamed as Carriebean would it make a difference? now with RCB there is no real legacy....even the players don't seem to really enjoy playing here.... Their body language suggests they are just here to collect a paycheck....even when external factors facilitated for them to win , they couldn't get the job done and get past the finish line so so I understand why the fans feel that way vijay50, CommonMan and Old guy
bulbul
^ atleast RCB fans support thier only team only unlike glory hunters who keep 2 to 3 options open and jump ship when it suits to them :)))
Old guy
It's OK to support other teams if your team no longer exists. We Pune fans welcome all other fans to support us Yoda-esque and Nova
