sourab10forever
Things getting really interesting now. SRH only fixed team at this stage.1 out of 3 GL might slip. Two games against good teams. Even if they win one,NRR might come into play. MI have home ground problems. They need to win 2 out of 2. Still will be on 16 hence NRR DD also likely to qualify. 2 out of 4 can win 3 so they should look for top 2 berth. RCB (after this match) 3 out of 3. Tough. Again max 16 so NRR will come into play. RPS and KXIP : OUT

PBN
KKR win messes up the scenario. Now KKR vs GL will yield one team ending up with atleast 8 points. Gujarat looking the most vulnerable to be dislodged from the top 4 Edited May 14, 2016 by PBN

sourab10forever
In the best intrestes of RCB: SRH,KKR,RPS and K11 should win all their matches except against RCB. DD also to an extent. GL need to loose both. MI should win against GL..loose against DD If MI/RCB/GL are starnted on the same number of points, then we have a NRR advantage as of know. Is it possible that a team with 14 points and a higher run-rate still has a chance to qualify? I know this has happened only once in the past but is it possible in this scenario? sourab10forever
If the following happens... KXIP v HYB : doesn't matter but say SRH MI vs DD : DD KKR vs RCB :RCB RPS vs DD : DD RCB vs KXIP : RCB GL vs KKR : KKR DD vs SRH : SRH RPS VS KXIP : doesn't matter but KXIP GL vs MI : MI KKR vs SRH : doesn't really matter DD vs RCB : RCB Then... SRH and KKR qualify easily(top 2) DD on 16 RCB in 16(higer NRR as of now) GL starnded at 14. Even if GL win one...still we assume they have a lower NRR then us and hence we qualify. If GL win both then MI can reach only 14. Then it depends on DD. They need to loose at least 2 out of there four and we need 3 in 3. All in All... If we win three in three.. It is likely that we go in as 3rd or 4th We can qualify with even 14 points is if... DD win all four(RCB game included) MI beat GL but loose to DD GL loose both. All this assuming our NRR still stay higher(currently we have the highest)

Since RCB depends on selected individuals, it wins are tied to how those individuals perform. If these individuals perform, RCB has a good chance in the game. If they fail, it would most likely be out of the game. Esp since it would be playing more balanced sides such as KKR and DD, and the dangerous K11 which is also seeking a berth based on 7 wins

The best in fact. KXIP are out of contentions unless they win big..very big.
