How would you define worth of a player? Money alone shouldn't be the criteria to judge a player because what money he gets isn't in his hands. It should be based on experience and the expectations. Negi neither had much experience nor people had much expectations from him. Everyone after the auctions thought it was a bad move by DD to shell so many crores on an unknown quantity.

Worthless player shud be the one with 0 perfomances, many name mentioned above have performed atleast 2-3 times . Worthless means an absolute liability on the team and put his teams plans under problems

 

 

Karn Sharma- y is he even picked

Johnson- Came to ipl without much of match practice, shud have atleast thought about

Harshal patel- Lost his brains with his haircut as well

Shreyas iyer- after such a gud domestic season this kind of ipl has only made hsi chances suffer and his team to who was relying on him

M&M- Maxwell n miller doesnt look happy in their respective team shud be dropped, wud do better for other teams

Hardik pandya- seems to be suffering from lack fo confidence and it was coming , like with every youngster one gud seaons and teams pick ur weakness and then its upto u

Varun aaron- after all these yrs still his control is a problem, and also that one match where in past he use to win games on his own went also missing

Watson with bat - if hit hadnt been for other 4 this guys nothing batting perfomance wudnt have gone unnoticed. 

Hooda- Had too many brain farts this season

Kane richardson- An indian bowler disguised in as overseas bowler, bowled shit shit n shit

Kane Richardson played well against Pune and took a three-fer. One more which I don't remember.

 

Hooda bowled well in a match but was crap in the rest

 

Watson played some good finishing knocks. One against Pune and the other against KKR. He hardly had chances and only came in to play a couple of ball in many matches.

 

Varun Aaron - Bowled well in many matches and wasn't a total waste. If you count him, then most other bowlers would be in.

 

You forgot shamsi and ashwin.A swim bowled well only in the last match.

 

Negis has picked only one wicket in the season and hasn't  played a single innings.

Harmful pandya yes.was worthless.

Maxwell did play a good innings too.

Guptill and shamsi were useless as well. Add khawaja and Bailey as well.Gayle not quite. He was just slightly out of form. Was in and out of team but now has found his way back.Still two more matches to go.

Don't get the hate for Negi. The guy isn't even an established FC cricketer. It's not his fault DD bid like morons for him and overpaying for Negi is DD's management's fault and not Negi's.

 

I would even take out Yuvraj and Shami's names from the list. Yuvraj is a spent force and TBH I would be more surprised if he actually wins matches on his own in IPL. He's no longer the Yuvraj of old and just like DD's management, I blame SRH's think-tank for overpaying for Yuvraj's services.

 

As for Shami, the guy is coming back from a long term injury layoff. In fact he has barely played anything of note since the 2015 WC and expecting him to be at his peak after more than a year's injury related hiatus is unreasonable.
