Ponting had a deep point when India were 60-1 even though Australia have more than 450 runs on the board. Its always been the same **** even with Ganguly - Dravid was slightly better, he used to introduce third man pretty early. As for bowling changes in general I thought he brought himself on too late on some occasions but overall there isn't too much to complain about. Link to comment

The Outsider Posted January 4, 2008 Share Posted January 4, 2008 I don't see anything wrong with the OP. In fact, I would argue Laxman should have been made captain ahead of Kumble. The man has a superb record captaining at all levels, is a good reader of the game etc. and seems to fill all the requirements of a good captain. Not saying Kumble is doing a bad job, but Laxman is a god choice as well. Link to comment
