gattaca
How dumb can bowlers be if things are not working for them. They bounced out our lower order bats. Why can't our bowlers think about this simple logic ? Especially the giraffe named I shan't. Letting Windies get away easily. Edited August 10, 2016 by gattaca Mosher and tweaker 2 Link to comment
Mosher
Wish Aaron played on this track. He can bowl some great bouncers. Ankit_sharma03 and express bowling 2 Link to comment
express bowling
Ishant tried a few bouncers near the end ...2 were quite good and one of them almost got a wicket. Bhuvi tried a couple but both were loopy ones and both were declared wides. Shami has been our best pacer in this series in terms of bowling good bouncers and getting quite a few deliveries to climb up sharply from just short of good length...but he did not go for bounce as much as he did in the first two tests. velu and tweaker 2 Link to comment
velu
where is our aggressive bowing which is expected to pick 20 wickets ? tweaker 1 Link to comment
sandeep
Yeah they went to the short stuff a bit late in the day - only the last couple of overs. Probably because when Shami tried a few short ones early on, Leon Johnson put him away with absolute ease. Not the same story at the other end, so yeah, missed a trick there. Especially with Baby Bravo. First ball to him was a kachra loosener on the pads, glanced for 4. FGaandu Ishant. First hour today will decide our fate today. We need a couple of wickets early if we are going to get anywhere in this match. Link to comment
gattaca
This is the learning I feel our bowlers lack. No thinking whatsoever just go and bowl like donkey no brains. They should be watching the match and see what is going on. Link to comment

Apart from maybe trying the short ball stuff at the other end, which backfired early on against Johnson, they were on point. Ishant gave 2 bad balls that went for 4 and bowled 2 other bad balls down leg that went for 4 byes twice - those were on the 'keeper, they were stoppable. Other than that, I can't think of any freebies given, at all. Even Ishant was comfortably the 3rd best seamer on show, changed his angles around and beat the bat a few times. And keep in mind, with the hot sun baking down, the track was pretty unhelpful too. Hopefully, there's a bit of moisture early on, and they come out all guns blazing and pick up a few wickets early today. Rightarmfast 1 Link to comment
Rightarmfast
I think an off day can be forgiven. The bowlers by and large, have been more than decent in this trip. Also, maybe because the ball was new, they were trying to swing or the pitch perhaps lacked bounce. tweaker 1 Link to comment
rkt.india
Bowlers should always bowl 1-2 surprise bouncer every or every second over to keep batsmen on the backfoot, especially, on pitches like these. Bowling too many bouncers also doesn't work. Most of our fast bowlers don't bowl bouncers well as they are not used to it. tweaker 1 Link to comment
