Guptil and Nicholas were the victims of that doubt and indecision. This is why I think he is Indias best fast bowler. He has the ability to run through batting line ups when conditions are in his favor and keep batsman in check by consistently bowling in the corridor of uncertainty. I like shami and yadav but when things aren't going their way they lose the plot. They pick up wickets consistently because of their pace and earn a spot in the team because of it but I think BK is on a different level. tweaker, beetle and sscomp32 3 Link to comment
sandeep
You should have heard Rashid Latif talk about Bhuvi during Asia Cup recently. As an aside, he said he doesn't understand why India keep benching this guy - a guy who can swing the ball both ways is deadly. India is not using him properly. Yes, early in his career he was toothless once the ball got old, but now he has more experience and by all accounts has improved his stamina to the point where he can maintain decent pace in the 2nd and 3rd spells also. And give him the slightest bit of help in terms of conditions, he morphs into a wrecking ball. If we play 5 bowlers, there has to be an incredibly strong reason for benching him, like we did early on in the Windies tour. Credit to Kohli and Kumble for getting him in this game. Yes, Kohli has the penchant for dubious selections, but so far he has also shown the willingness to correct - case in point, benching Dhawan in T1 this series in favor of Murli and Lokesh. And getting Bhuvi back in over Yadav in T2. Let's hope he keeps a similarly open mind going forward. beetle, tweaker and sscomp32 3 Link to comment

MCcricket
Bhuvi bowled well but Kiwis batted badly, Fulfill n Nichols batted like bunnies, he will do well occasionally but still Bhuvi is not good enough to be a regular in our test side Link to comment
sandeep
Another point to add - Bhuvi is an under-rated test bat. He already averages mid-20s with the bat, and can easily do better than that. Mid 20s with the bat, high 20s with the ball. If Ash wasn't around, he would be the best proxy of a test allrounder we have. Jadeja's batting is more of a lottery in tests than anything. Ash and Bhuvi should be the 1st 2 bowlers in the XI if they are fit, regardless of conditions, going forward. sscomp32 and beetle 2 Link to comment
sandeep
Bhuvi back into the ODI side - and right away is the best pacer on show. Keep it rolling Bhuvi!! Silva, beetle, sscomp32 and 1 other 4 Link to comment

There is nothing wrong with bowling fast someone who does all that bhuvi does but bowls faster than him would be like starc and would be better. But no complaints he is second best aftwr Shami.. Needs to be second pacer, great death bowling today. Link to comment
sandeep
Bhuvi making the kangaroos dance. 2 for 7 in 5 overs. Should have 3 if butterfingers fat-arse Rohit doesn't drop a gettable slip catch. Bhuvi, Bhuvi, BhUVI!!! beetle 1 Link to comment
Texan
Haters having to eat crow yet again. Shows you exactly the value a good swing and seam bowler brings to the team. On any other day, if it weren't for Bhuvi, this wicket would have been castigated as a flat track. Pollack 1 Link to comment

Arguably the best bowler on show today. Out-bowled Cummins and Coulter-Nile. Let's not even bring up Cannon fodder Kane. beetle 1 Link to comment
sandeep
Should have had 4 wickets. Just the slightest bit of help for pace bowling, and Bhuvi rips apart batsmen. Not the worst on flat tracks either for ODIs. * his stats. The guy is quality. Edited September 21, 2017 by sandeep sscomp32 and beetle 2 Link to comment

maniac
Most improved bowler...a rare breed of Indian bowler who phase 1-started of well, phase 2-had a little downward spiral but phase 3-bounced back stronger. usually it stops at phase 2 with the spiral being very steep beetle and Laaloo 2 Link to comment

All pacers except for Cummins and Bhuv went for over 5 an over. And Cummins only got one wicket in 10 overs. Bhuv got 3 (and could have had a 4th) conceding single digit runs at ER below 2. He was clearly the standout performer among all pacers today. Link to comment
