the don
Fastest at the world cup . Fastest in the test series vs england both home and away . Faster than wood . Hit 96 mph today . I think he is the fastest bowler in the world currently along with Starc . His pace is one of the reasons why he has been able to bowl such impactful spells in test cricket recently . Its amazing really because he was nothing more than medium pace as a youngstet and at the u19 level . tweaker 1 Link to comment

Bigg Brother
Bowling few 90 mph balls once in a while doesn't make someone fastest..There is no Brett Lee,Akhtar now a days who consistently touched 90 mph.At best we have Starc,Milne. Rabada isn't that bad too.Pat Cummins was the one who could crack 90mph on a consistent basis.Shame that he always remains injured. tweaker 1 Link to comment

It hasnt just been a few 90 mph bowls from him recently . Its been 90mph consistently with few aroumd 95 mph -96 mph . Yes nobody at present can match akhtar who was consistently bowling 94-95 mph in t20 in england in 2010 as a 37 year old. 11 hours ago, Vilander said: Nope he is fast but not fastest. on par with Indian bowlers. Adi_91
@the don Bowling that fast and leaking runs is not good bowling. If bowling fast alone was a criteria, then many ordinary bowlers also do that and leak runs. Wahab does just that. Edited September 10, 2016 by Adi_91 Link to comment
Vilander
Wahab bowling fast is a myth he is fast but not in lee tait bracket he bowls an occassional 150 with out accuracy. He is overall as fast as indian bowlers funny how pak people cant accept this. Retarded genetics probably lol. Link to comment

Yep watched all of odi series his avg speed was around 88/89 and fastest about 91 whereas wood was hit 91/92 far more consistently. So he probably bowled one 95mph ball in a t20 and he is the fastest in the world lol. Edited September 10, 2016 by Bleed-Blue Vilander, express bowling, Adi_91 and 1 other 4 Link to comment

Come on, he bowled a fiery spell in the WC QF last year conceding 6.5 runs per over and Pakistan lost in under 35 overs. That's called a champion bowler, who concedes runs just as fast as he bowls. Very measured bowler I will say. tweaker and Bleed-Blue 2 Link to comment

express bowling
Wahab is the perhaps only Pakistani pacer who is capable of touching 90 mph or 145 kph in TEST matches these days or bowling many deliveries above 140 kph. India has 4 such pacers in Aaron, Shami, Umesh and Ishant. Rightarmfast, Bleed-Blue, Vilander and 1 other 4 Link to comment

What are you talking about ?? 88 -89 mph was his average in tests . This thread isnt about effectiveness . Its about pace . Link to comment

All pakistani bowlers clocked higher speeds in both the asia cup game , the worldcup game in 2015 and the worldt20 than their indian counterparts. In test matches pakistan play sohail who is a clever bowler and along with amir who if he wants to can bowl 5 -6 ks quicker than any bowler in India form a formidable attack that wins pakistan test matches. Amir is almost always around 90 mph in LOIs . That is quicker than the likes of shami and ishanth . 22 minutes ago, MultiB48 said: where did he clock it can you tell ,i saw the replay didnt see it. I was talking about test matches here.....where all your pacers, apart from Wahab, bowl below 140 k most of the times. In the Asia Cup.....a T20 competition...our 4 quickest bowlers Aaron, Umesh , Ishant and Shami did not play...which is why your pacers clocked higher speeds. Amir does not bowl around 90 mph in ODIs...he was bowling around 83 mph to 89 mph most of the times in the last ODI series ( even his fastest ball was under 90 mph in most matches ). You are talking about his T20 speeds where even our super trundler Vinay bowls 137 k. Edited September 10, 2016 by express bowling Mosher and Vilander 2 Link to comment

Sohail has played a grand total of 4 test matches and averages 40....Amir is averaging 42 after his return......and you are already making them a formidable pair that wins test matches. You seem to have forgotten the contributions of the talented Yasir Shah, who is a really good bowler. Give the pace duo some time to succeed. tweaker 1 Link to comment
