Gambhir cheap to rant against MSD in light of URI attack?

Hasnt there been many films on Army and Army men , may be gambhir could only see Dhoni's biopic.

Azhar the match fixer ki biopic ke time Monvarat Rakha tha or why was he quite when Mary kom n Milkha singh biopic released.

Why only pointing out saying cricketer, is cricket less of a sport.

A. First thing he has no right to tell any film maker or story teller or any artist to choose their stories or inspiration. Every artist has a right to say what they want in case of filmmaker he has every right to tell a story he wants. Dhoni story is something of great material where a small town boy who from no one became the biggest captain n one of the biggest player of India. Thats some journey.

B. He has made such statements in past like Had yuvi come ahead of dhoni in Wc final he wud have won n made 100. So what matter a team win or individual getting credit. How does he call himself a team man when he cares more about individual attention than team winning WC.

c.He is a sore loser who in one interview has said that may be it due to his fight with Dhoni n Virat that he is out of team. No u were out coz of ur perfomances and he was giving a chance in Eng where he couldnt even touch the ball. N yes why wud both captain want a person with such attitude in team.

D. Dhoni has been an inspiration to many small town player and has left a legacy behind of Calmness under pressure and the man deserves it.

Even Kumble, Laxman and others have been dropped in past and captains have to take calls which may look right to some and wrong to many but at the end of the day he has to run the team. And he knows what goes inside dressing room. Taking Grudge out like only makes him sound like a Cry baby. Would have respected him more had he came out n spoke before a match fixer Azhar biopic

Gambhir has always been a third class tool.

He first made the comment a day before the URI attack.

Got trolled ....

Then URI attack happened and he used that to again comment on the biopic...just days before Dhoni's biopic is releasing.

I am glad this bitter guy is not a part of the team.

My disapointment on him has resided a bit some benefit of doubt if he said that prior to uri attack.

Not in good taste to mix the two. Commercial interests for film-making hardly consider anything other than commercial prospects while considering subject for a film. Even with cricketers, there's still no movie on Gavaskar, Kapil or Sachin, yet there's one on Azhar of all people only because Azhar's life was more controversial. Yet, picking the Uri attack and using that to reinforce his opposition against biopics on cricketers is in bad taste.

Really don't get why he blames Dhoni (if it is indeed true) for his ousting. Fact is that nobody but Gambhir himself is responsible for his own ousting. He was in wretched form and did not deserve to be picked, in fact probably got one chance too many.

Nothing wrong with what Gambhir said here in India we worship filmfare n cricketers but they R getting paid n doing what they love, real respect should go to guys who put their lives on the line, it's just the occasion which makes it a bit of a issue

Oh if really cared about the death of our Indian soldiers perhaps he should have raised the issue of why the armed guards were not provided with bullet proofs which probably would have prevented their deaths rather that using it as a cheap option to settle personal grudges .

Its a low life thing to do using others death (Army soldiers death as well) for his personal attacks on people he don't like.

And u are stupid if u think a large majority of Indians dont love and respect army people .There are more movies about Army and heroics than most other topics or biopics .

Wow chrck this thread.. Gambhir is a patriot and a fighter. Stop insulting him. He put his point of view after 17 of our soldiers were killed in their sleep. This is the problem with us Indians, if we don't agree with someone's opinion, rather than respecting or ignoring someone's opinion, we resort to abuses and insults.

Thing is what has biopic to do with Uri attack? Two things do not relate. This is a random analogy.

Totlly uncalled for, could have left it as a tribute without bringing in Biopics

His performances toward the end of his career were bad enough, now cheap shots like these are further tainting Gambhirs legacy.

This was the guy who was crucial in two LOI WC wins, and one of the best openers in the world at his prime -thats how he should be rememberd

I don't think anyone showed disrespect to those brave soldiers...entire nation salutes them...

What is ironic is that unlike Mr Gambhir...Dhoni is actually an honorary member of the territorial Army.Unlike other honorary members ,he is known to practice with them .

If there a need to actually do something ,Dhoni may actually be in a position to do it. If nothing else,he atleast is a good PR for the forces and probably motivates youngsters to join.

I don't know about other cricketers but Dhoni's life story till now is something that would be interesting to watch on screen.A some town boy from a region not known for producing dashing cricketers, making it so big is definitely a story worth being told.I hope it is a nicely made movie and that shows us the man Dhoni is ....it should inspire many small town kids to dream big.

A sachin ,dravid or ganguly biopic may not be so interesting...but Dhoni's biopic seems like something interesting.

Yep , Dhoni is one of those rag to riches story that really inspires you and made for Bollywood.Another one I would like as a biopic is Kapil Dev.

The 1983 World cup win was like a fairytale come to life...proper movie material with so much masala that can be added....why no one has ever tried to make a movie on that.

Yeah he has had an inspirational story but not really a standout...such inspirational stories are dime a dozen...it is not like Dhoni has become the greatest captain or WK-bat or cricketer of all time...He is a successful cricketer from a middle class background...so much self promotion here.

But on Topic...really below the belt by Gambhir to further a personal agenda

Can u count the big name players or stars outside the metros (and big cities) before Dhoni?

He arguably broke the biggest barrier in Indian cricket .

Also he is from a lower middle class family which is a massive difference.
