Three years and counting and we are still betting on Dhoni

It has been three years and almost about same time as Virat took over the Test captaincy, and we have won series after series home and away under Virat and we have been loosing one series after another under Dhoni.

 

While Virat never blames his bowlers or batters, or whines, Dhoni always has excuses after excuses, blames others, stubborn to a point of stupidness, cannot bat or captain no more, no motivation in being number one or pride in winning but in making money, we are talking about his present and not past , where he was a good odi bat and a half decent odi captain especially at home.

A good captain has to plan use his resources, build a team, Dhoni never does any of it unless there is injury or his pet players R rested and then complains about bench, how cum things changed from being at the lowest point when Virat was handed test captaincy to now, because Virat planned, had a path mapped, tried players, gave them confidence, here we see Dhoni hiding and whining and complaining.

Who has balls to kick him out as he has passed his due date, get in Hooda, Mandeep, Nathu,Aniket, K Yadav, Sarfaraz , Pant and let them play under Virat and see where he will take the team

We are not talking about fitness but skills in batting n captaincy n clearly he has lost it a while back

His captaincy have been really good this series, batting also on a downhill yet he is 2nd best batsman of our team in the series . 

Even in t20 wc if u cud rely on anyone to tleast fight after kohli that was dhoni

 

If ur at fixing the problem why dont start with other member who are way worst than him in terms of perfomance n fitness.

A sinking ship and a captain is clueless, his keeping is ok, but his batting is become a joke, the big difference in our test team and odi team comes to one man and that is the captain, over 3 years under Dhoni we keep on loosing and under Virat we keep on winning, so isn't it elementary Dhoni should be sacked as anyone would n should be,also Rahane is wrong choice for ODi, and Dhawal is a joke, on one side our test side under Virat plays like a world beater n odi side under Dhoni plays like a looser, so can't everyone see.

Remember when he said it was about the process rather than result? if the captain basically only treats these games as practise matches than we indian fans that spend money or time to watch are basically morons. how else can you explain the fact that this team only lost 2 odis in the last 3 icc odi torunaments yet lose odi series to teams like bangladesh,south africa and pakistan theirs no reason why a team that performs so well in icc tournies shouldnt do the same outside of them as well.

Also Dhoni averages 25 this year.High time he is sacked as he will never step down .Wasting precious years of Kohli.He needs time to rebuild odi squad.

Ashwin and Jadeja.

 

With these two bowlers, it would have been easy 5-0 for team India.

 

Remove these two players from test teams and I will be surprised if we manage to win single test against Eng at home.

There is no magic wand. A captain is as gud as his team . Dont forget this team has so many seniors members missing. When Aus rested their seniors in t20 against us this yr they got whitewashed. Same happened when they came to india in 2013 and they were suffering from injuries end result whitewash. 

 

If mishra drops 3 catches, Dhoni cant run and sit under to catch those drop catches. 

 

IF dropping him can be solution, go ahead. I really dont think a sanju samson coming or anyone else solves this problem. 

To be honest as a captain he has got more than out of our bowling line up which we were scared before the series. 

 

The whole notion of throw him throw him throw him so idiotic, as if ur youngsters are stepping up. 

Yes there is no doubt he is going through a difficult phase and that doesnt help as a captain that his 1st yr.

It's a biggest myth that he treats them as practice matches. He would've given new players a chance if that was his intention. I think that is simply his limitations as a skipper we are seeing in him today. He's a total failure as a leader, who could never able to build a proper team after the retirement of Sachin, Dravid, Sehwag, Zaheer...

Our best pacer Shami is missing. Best swing bowler Bhuvi isn't there. So team can still win series without 5 first choice players and it's bad?

 

We didn't have even Bumrah in last match.

Our bowling has been fine.Odis are diff from tests.Ashwin would have bowled well But Mishra has been doing a great job.

Bowling would have easily made difference with results.

 

Bowling looks fine because matches have been low scoring. But with these 5 players we could have easily won the series.

Not really our tail got some handy runs to maakbthe short comings if top order.Batting has been major issue.
