Such a tragedy, poor guys, its so sad they can be seen saying innocently to the tv reporter before the stunt that they do not know swimming. Why the f did they force them to do the stunt if they did not know swimming, where were the vests, where were the emergency responders, where were the the saftey equipments. WTF.

Duniya Viji, the lead actor of the movie Maasti Gudi, too made the jump but narrowly escaped as he was wearing a life jacket.

According to the police, the crew did not have permission to shoot inside the reservoir.

The Taverekere police along with the fire and emergency service personnel rushed to the spot and efforts are on to trace the bodies.

Ironically, Uday who was also acting as villain in the movie, spoke to the media minutes before the incident, stating that he was flying in the helicopter for the first time. The duo were not wearing any life jacket nor there was any security measure. Apalling lack of security measures in India.

[ "... According to locals, the place where stunt was being picturised was a dangerous spot as there is about 30-40 ft of silt below 15-20 feet of water. " ]

Only 15-20 feet of water ? Diving from that height , they would have gone through the water and into the silt below. They got stuck in the silt !
Lakes ,rivers, ocean shores are not swimming pools. More often than not , swimmers are completely ignorant of what lies under the surface.

Sometimes I feel that Ind lacks common sense. Because of countries like Pak, Ind is made to feel relatively better.

Its not common Sense problem, its a rules problem.nobody follows rules in India.if everybody follows rules then we are ready to move on from a third world country
