I don't man. I am just a player who is trying his best to get selected. :) There are hundreds of them better than me today, but I got the desire and motivation to better my game, which others lack :)

Well, good luck to you. :cheer:

Keep up the good work!  Btw are you of Indian Origin?

I think in terms of talent, I think both nations have same talent. In fact with all due respect, even though Canada won, it doesn't really put clear picture to what USA cricket team really look like if they do not play old washed up players.

USA is now starting to change. Robin Singh got them contracts in Carribean Premier league and  along with that did his talent scout. Also,  now there are proper camps unlike before.

Trust me USA cricket has more talent. There is a reason why all Canadians want to play here but USA players don't travel as much to Canada. Current players come here from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and West Indies just for tournaments and that only increases the level of cricket here all over USA.

Canada has lot of talent too but with mixture of lot of West Indian talent, USA is a step ahead and now with politics being put a step back, there is finally a chance for USA cricket to move forward.

Watch out for USA now, they got a new coach Pubudu Dassanayke, whose goal is to play the best players and he is trying his best to scout the best talent all over USA and get the best final 15.

Lots of false statements in your post

"In fact with all due respect, even though Canada won, it doesn't really put clear picture to what USA cricket team really look like if they do not play old washed up players."

you think we are not playing with old washed up players. Heck a guy like Akash is destroying clubs in New Zealand but he is no where near the radar. Also, you know the pain Nikhil Dutta had to go through to get selected in the national team again. And unlike you guys, our new guys are born and bred in Canada

"USA is now starting to change. Robin Singh got them contracts in Carribean Premier league and  along with that did his talent scout. Also,  now there are proper camps unlike before."

have you heard a guy named Nikhil Dutta. Unlike your guys who just selected for the draft and sit as the 12 mans, Nikhil Dutta has been busy taking wickets of Kevin Petersons, MHafeezs. Akash, Dhindsa and Cheema are all better than any American guy.

Sorry bro, but this one was most incorrect or let's just say rude post. You are acting like a typical Yankee, the world revolves around the U Ass of A. Tell me one Canadian player who wants to play for America. Heck, yesterday one of your US women team member came here to practice at our facilities as she think it's better here. Have your heard a guy named Davy Jacobs. Played in mumbai Indians. He is part of our team and moved to Canada not the states. We have lot of homegrown talent from WestIndies (Rodrigo Edwards), Srilankans(Wijayratnr), Indians and Pakistanis playing for us. And unlike you, they have learnt their cricket in Canada.

Eveything aside, Canada has more talent, a better team than the Yankees.

You mentioned NiKhil Dutta in all of your post about Canadian players. You mentioned him like three times.

Yes, he must have had his struggles but his action was also weird and hence many players and officials speculated him.

I am glad he got cleared and is doing better, so good for him.

I have played against Nikhil in Florida when he came for Ryerson. He has gotten better surely. Kudos to him for that but that is pretty much it.

And who's acting like Yankee? You just came and mentioned Canada and hence I wanted to point out that USA had their inner politics with which it struggled. I have never even said anything about Canada being bad. They are good and I regularly play with their players, that is all I said.

I never said Canadian players want to play for USA national team. I have told you that they like to play for clubs here on regular basis as there is lot of club competiton here which involes players from all over the world and hence Canadians like to participate in it too as the level of cricket is high. I Never said they want to play for USA. Just for the expereience, Canadians like to participate in the tournaments here.

I don't know why you are so worked up.

Just genuinely interested here, has Dhutta ever been reported and tested for chucking?

Lot of speculations but he never really got fully reported because he plays for an associate nations. But I think he has worked a lot on his action and it looks much cleaner then the first season when he came and played in CPL. In College days, it did look that he chucked a lot.

Bit generous on Nikhil Dutta to call him 'busy taking wickets' when he's bench warmed and been the specialist drinks runner for the vast majority of his time in the Caribbean playing 3 games across 2 seasons in the CPL...

If you did some research on Nikhil, you must have read that the first time Canadian board removed his NOC and he wasn't allowed to play either Cpl or Canadian. Other edition, his action was scrutinized and he had to sit out. But at least played some games. On top, he was the first North American player to play in BPL and got some big names out.

Firstly, you got me there. I misinterpreted your quote about Canadian players wanting to play in States. I thought you meant wanting to play America over Canada. So that got me worked up. I was wrong as you didn't mean to demean Canadian cricket. So my apologies for my rude tone.

Yes i repeated Nikhil few times, I guess because of my personal bonding  and I have seen the kid grow in front of me. I see him in nets every time I go to nets 7 days a week 365 days a year with his dad. Him and his dad will remind you of a typical sports movie, where a dad wakes up at 3am everyday so his son can can start practice at 4am. I remember I playing against him 7 years back when he was barely 14. I thought I can scare the kid with some bouncers. He played my first four overs out , and when I was out of gas, he smoked for 2 straight sixes. You don't see that kinda smartness from a fourteen year skinny guy.

Regardless, my apologies for my earlier post. We Canadian club cricketers have so much passion and talent, but our board is ruined by some babus from subcontinent. And it hurts when Canadian cricketers are criticized.

Same problem was here and kind of still is but better now but more than Desis, the board and selection was taken over by Windies folks here earlier compared to Desis in Canada.

Yep so much potential for the game to grow. If icc spends some good chunk of money to get cricket at grass roots level (provide free equipments to every public school, free coaching, cricket scholarships in every North American province), there is so much money to made off in the North America. But Icc and Bcci babus have small soch and rather fill up their pockets with small chips rather than investing.

First time in  the USA cricket history that some player from DMV(Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia)region hasn't been picked in the USA squad.

DMV region is considered the pillar of United states cricket but it is disappointing to see no one picked from here. I hope the squd does well though.

This is our chance to qualify and make it to the big league. The squd does have some amazing cricketers with some great spinners who can do well.

Looking forward to their success.

Auty Cup going on which is a best of 3 series between USA and Canada.

USA won the game one and in game 2, Canada is chasing 203 and are reduced to 5/123. Canada were cruising to victory today when Kenijge came back and took a hattrick.

USA has a chance to regain Auty Cup if they can keep the pressure on.

I knew you would be following this game.. I was deeply upset with yesterday's result https://www.crichq.com/matches/563835/1st_innings

I don't know why they play so defensively .. Satsimaran Dhindsa always gets underbowled and he should defintily be batting up the order. He smoked a hundred against my team (smoked for 2 big sixes), even though I swear I had him plumbest of plumb lbw first ball..

Nikhil Dutta should express himself.. Thomas Rodrigo and Akashdeep should be given a go over D Pathirana..

I was watching a night tournament here in Mississauga, and I swear there is so much talent here.. So many young kids and talent here

Same here, I agree with the players, problem with USA and Canada is that there are not enough games being played and players do not have proper chance to convince the selectors that they deserve to play for the country and hence they are not able to express themselves better.

Similarly for USA, there is a big problem. Our captain was removed from the team as he said he is available for USA only when he is not playing for Jamaica. So they just decided to play without him, this is the guy who has been playing for USA from last 6 years. Now all of a sudden some 5 new youngsters were tried. So there really isn't much for them to play. They have a lot on line and all they get is a game each to show what they can do as its just a short 3 match series and after that most players are stuck playing club cricket.

Trust me, USA isn't far and probably at same level, just management has been problem. I think US, and Canada both can do what Ireland did few years ago, just that  they need more games to play. Problem is we are next to West Indies, which is useless themselves. Ireland were next to UK which allowed its cricketers to play in County.

Biggest problem for associate countries and their players is lack of adequate number of games.  Haraami ICC is squatting on so much funds, they should be setting up a annual season for the top level associate countries, so that those 'national' teams get at least 25-30 matches every year.   Its not even that expensive to setup.   Lazy corrupt selfish ph.ucks those ICC babus are.
