Pakistan is also doing the same thing as our selectors ,instead of investing in youth ,they are recyling older players.

They are a step further, even bringing back players who were banned and haven't played international cricket in 6 years hoping they will not skip a beat and perform at the same level. Given how badly Yasir has sucked...good chance that Danish Kaneria will be recalled too...now all he has to do is wear a Save Gaza Band, grow a long beard and start calling himself  Dawood Kaneria

Thanks. I really want to see why they keep doing it. Surely there has to be a reason they keep bringing bad names on themselves by bringing back tainted players? the benefits must be enormous. So I want to keep a track of how much they get back from forgiving such players

TINA factor. Their domestic structure is incredibly mediocre (mediocre being a euphemism).

The melodrama that is Pakistan cricket requires a three way contribution from players, PCB and fans.

Tailunt trumps everything

I am personally not averse to this. Cricketers are not supposed to be standard bearers of good behavior and morality. they are sports people and Sports is littered with less than perfect individuals.

As long as they serve their bans they are free to play. But yes you cannot take high moral ground along with it. Be ready for crowds booing and people calling you out.

Agree serves your time . Then of course can earn spot back.

but these lot seem to have a bit too many who serve time for wrong doings :phehe:

also team mangt and a country needs to think and look at bigger picture. Recalling these deviants to play for country is this good thing? Plus what message send out. Traitor country no worries do time come back , no wonder pak players continue to reoffend like no other country

yes don't think it is good for long term health of cricket in that team. ethics in any field are very important. presence of cheats is likely to create an atmosphere of negativity. not really encouraging for a youngster coming up that people with this kind of background can also make their way back as talent > committment.

anyway what do i care.  i like to see Asif bowl and hopefully will see some good spells from him.

What tosh. The equivalent in Indian cricket is sreesanth. And we will never pick him again . Unlike what you desperados do.

And sreesanth was 10 times more talented than mohammad "averaging over 40 in almost every series he has played in test cricket" Amir, even though India desperately needs good fast bowlers but we still won't bring back convicted cheats, padosis apna level badhao

The problem is not  players getting another shot as long as they have served their ban. The problem is how desperate the Pakistani fans and the PCB are to think that these banned players are the answers to all the problems.

If a person his convicted and served his sentence he deserves a shot at redemption but for that he has to go back in line and work his way hard, even extra harder to make a comeback, nothing wrong with that, but the fact that they are handed everything on a silver platter as if nothing ever happened is apalling.

Funny part is padosis cry about "honour" at the drop of a hat :hysterical: But they have no qualms about recalling and bringing in convicted match fixers, cheaters, PED abusers etc. After all Wahab "Jacketman" Riaz was never even investigated after taking jacket full of money from a bookie. Yeah that's "honour" all right! :giggle:
