All the more reason to dump him and let someone like Pandey get some more international exposure before the CT starts. Yuvraj has already lost us the 2014 World T20 and has been pretty woeful in international cricket since then. Investing in him means that we want to surrender the CT too.

All i am saying is, it won't happen in practice

Its ridiculous that in 2017 going back to a washed-up player like Yuvraj is seen as the solution to the lack of big hitters lower down the order. How long can you keep on recycling the same old?

Even if he scores big in this series what does that prove given that the CT will be in English conditions?

Not sure if its Kumble's influence or the selectors ineptitude but the lack of strategy behind recent sections is bewildering. They have known about the CT for years and yet everything is short-termism.

The thing with Yuvraj is he can look so majestic when playing strokes. So when scoring runs he looks amazing. But those runs come less often these days.

He's played amazing this tour, but just don't feel he's a long term selection. Going forward, how much longer are we really going to play him? Are we planning on keep him till 2019?

Kohli loves him, so we can be assured he'll be playing as long as they could possibly keep him

Good thing the selectors don't select the team based on your "feelings"
