One of the best spell of fast bowling seen in domestic cricket by Warrier and Thampi. Both bowling around 140 or more and making it difficult for the batsmen on a flat pitch.

Yes

Kerala's captain Sachin baby should bowl these 2 guys again and go for wickets

No point bowling part-timers

Standing at more than pitch distance on a slowish pitch for Warrier

Wow

The WK was standing very deep even for Thampi

probably between 22-25 yards distance and even then, he missed one quick delivery that just went over his head deflecting his gloves. Warrier did get extra bounce from just short of a good length.

Warrier is athletic with a very good action and is tall,he also can move the ball as I have seen before , he along with Aniket, Ankit should be looked at in test format

South Zone - Thamby, Warrier, Siraj, Chama

West Zone - Thakur

North - Umar Nazir, Navdeep Saini, Diwesh Pathania

Central - Nathu, Aniket, Ankit

East - Aaron, Monu Kumar, Pritam Das, Sayan Ghosh, Kanishk Seth

Are these your picks for the zonal T20 teams ?

Or  are these your picks for  pacers with international potential  ?

What type of pacers are Pathania and  Kanishk    ?

Zonal teams. dont know about Pathania and Kanishk but they have done well. I have listed young pacers who have done well. Kanisk Seth is a left arm pacer played for India U19 last year, missed the WC berth though.

will Add Lalit Yadav from Vidarbha to the central zone list as well. Only played 1 game till  now but will play more games.

I do not think that is the way to judge upcoming talent . if they are thrashed by those world class  batsmen , will they be classified as useless ?

Warner , Roy  etc do thrash top class international bowlers also . In any case are we expecting these newbies as good as established international bowlers ?.

we should expect the new upcoming talent to be thrashed initially as they would not have mastered control over line , length as of now . Also  may not possess run denying deliveries perfected .

What i wish ,these talents get exposure in the upcoming IPL , They will know  where they stand and what deliveries they will need to perfect  to avoid getting thrashed .

That experience will help them to fast track their improvement .

What we should see is  do they have the tools potentially to succeed at international level.

To be an instant success  straight away  in international matches :

1. Should have pace .

2. Consistent ability to bowl Yorkers /very full deliveries .

3. A good slower cutter .

Why Bhumra  was in instant success  in international success ?  Because he had decent pace and very good yorkers .

Would like to know from other ICFERs who you think would fit the bill to be an instatnt success potentially.

I am inclined to think Thampi may be the front runner as he has pace , bowls some indipping yorkers and a good  bouncer  .
