express bowling
I think we gave too much importance to Starc and Hazlewood. We were playing on flat or flattish tracks and winning test after test....but perhaps changed that to negate the Aussie seam duo. It is possible that we practiced too much against pace bowlers in the nets and not that much against spin The biggest issue that affected us in this test match was our inability to play spin with confidence whereas the Aussies seem to have practiced a lot against spinners before coming to India. Our batters did not look even mentally prepared to play spin bowlers for a long time on a turning track. Edited February 25, 2017 by express bowling CG 1 Link to comment

kosingh
We have had a nice run in the last 2 years. But I also think that Kohli, Ashwin and Jadeja have been masking the inconsistent performances of the others. Link to comment

kubrickian
They probably had much better strategies against our batsmen and bowlers as they knew it was going to be a tough series. They must have watched how Ashwin and Jaddu bowl and how our batsmen play and planned for it. India on the other hand would have gone in without any specific strategies or homework as they were on a roll after England series. But they got the surprise of a lifetime. Link to comment
