Lets keep a count on the number of blunders they do which we can visit post another Wc disappointment ... This would include Selections mainly as i dont wanna include much of on-field tactics (coz i beileve those also involves execution part) but still we ll add up those strategies which wud be foolish on Diff level Starting With Ind-WI LOI series To start with Kohli going for LOI series has basically taken one spot for no reason which cud have been given to a youngster like Gill ....now iyer, rahul cant even get a spot in XI Selection inconsistencies - why am i putting this on captain as well coz its his vision as well and he is the one with impatience problem Gill goes on NZ tour plays 2 games ...gets dropped in Aus series Mayank goes in WC ...warm benches and gets dropped from Next series Rahul plays in Whole Wc and next series in t20 which is his most powerful format ...he gets dropped Dhawan, Jadeja, Manish pandey selection in t20 format which has been their weakest over so many years Baffling selection 3. Baffling Final XI selections- Lets says for a second if selectors have messed up but what about playing XI Manish pandey, dhawan over KL rahul - This is the single reason that KL who has been going through techincal issue has been put under insecurity which doesnt help any players mindset Benching a leggie like Rahul chahar

he plays test cricket over 3 formats unlike steve smith so thala gets my vote for sure.

Superb debut by Saini in T20Is 3 for 17 in 4 overs. Combined pace, bounce and accuracy ... took wickets and choked runs. Bowled quite a few good bouncers and yorkers. His death bowling has improved a lot and that is so heartening to see. Want to see Bumrah, Saini and Shami bowl in tandem in the 2 longer formats. That would be some quick and accurate bowling attack.

Did you ever watch Tendy bat in the 2nd half of the 90s? Comparing Sachin past his prime, to the absolute peaks of guys like Ponting, Kohli, Smith, Dravid etc etc - its a familiar bit.
  6. 5 points
Sachin had a phase between 29 jan 1993 and 14 apr 2011 where he avg:ed 59.35 after scoring 13534 runs in 258 inns. This he did against several 'sub 25' avg:ing bowlers . So to place Smith over Sachin is a bit premature as of now.
  7. 4 points
between 2002 to 2006 period Ponting averaged 70 plus, his peak, played 50-60 tests. After that, averaged 40-42 till he retired ended up with an averaged for early 40s. Smith for his first 20 tests average 40, averages 74 in his last 45 tests. So, he may well go down to 40-45 like ponting did.

Please feel free to console yourself with scrap metal. If you like pictures, how do you like this one? Hint, that's not a Pakistani leader signing documents for another loan. Its something else.

Pant needs a kick on his backside. We need to get Kishen in too. Pant is becoming too complacent. Doesn't realise the value of the chances he is getting.

Starc is at a different level as he can bowl entire spells around 150 k even in test matches. Archer drops pace often enough and we don't know his speeds in test matches yet. Ferguson again is more of a shorter version express bowler but very often bowls 137 to 145 k range even in these formats. Saini is not as quick as Starc but could be as quick as Ferguson or Archer.

Pant should be opening the batting. An explosive player should be given a go in the top order to face the 1st 6 overs.

these are excellent achievments (honestly well done!) but I'll think you'll find there's plenty on this website with something similar; such points won't help to positively differentiate your statements. I'd suggest sticking to competing on the merits of your arguments (purpose of a forum)

Aussies in "trouble" is basically the match situation that Sachin batted at in majority of his innings in the 1990s - you had guys like Debang Gandhi open the batting for India - 20/2 was the norm. But you do you. Isn't it time for the hourly thala-pooja in your shrine? Next to that dead pigeon?

Maybe improve with bat then and try to become shakib like player for india who could bat in top 4 in odis and bowl 10 overs. His funny actions and variations have no turn or mystery it's just that his body himself moves more than the ball.

Vaughn likes to troll - he says a lot of things intentionally, tongue in cheek. Simpletons sometimes bite, others take the bait to demonstrate how "un-biased" they are, never mind the actual facts...

That's a personal opinion from an English player during an Ashes moment. Lot of different players get this specific comment from ex-players when they are doing amazingly well. The thing is during the last two decades, when someone has said this is the best guy I have seen .. the immediate comparisons happen with Sachin and how this guy is better than Sachin .. I don't have to spell out what that means

    Religious Greeting Slogans

The Krishna one is in use forever - the older generation in my extended family - back in India and even here, always start conversations with that phrase, on the phone or in person - its almost mispronounced in a gujju accent as "jesi Krushna". For traditional folks who are still reasonably religious - not even excessively so - its just habit and courtesy, not even anything religious about it at that point.

Pant is not one dimensional...as of he suffers from shot selection issue which most youngsters do at star of their career specially the one who has range of shots. No.4 problem is becoz we didnt give players enough game to knw they are good or bad. Even if they are bad 2-3 chances cant decide that . Also no.4 doesnt only need to be solid he also needs to have a gear to take the team from 10/2 to 300+ easily . This going for solid has made us go for players like rahane, rayudu who they beilve cud grind out
  42. 2 points
Hasn't he picked Khaleel? Isn't he BFF with the Pak team all of whom are Muslims?
  43. 2 points
Agree to this thread completely. Shikhar's record in T20I is for everyone to see. Rahul is our best bat in T20 & he gets benched. Virat's performance since last WT20 have been poor. Most of our players lack innovative shots to compensate for lack of power. On good batting pitches we will be outgunned with this squad. At most we can chase 170 & even less in case of a KO. ENG Aus NZ r out of our reach in this format.

Prasidh has played 33 List A matches and averages 26.6 with an ER of 5.4. These numbers along with the fact that he gets steep bounce at high pace and acceptable accuracy and has a natural outswinger ... do merit an 50-over A-team selection IMHO. I think we need a tall quick bowler now ... to complement most of our medium height quick bowlers. Avesh and Prasidh are good candidates.

years ago, i was traveling with a group and were stuck in some place due to bad weather. Our of absolute necessity i saw people eat what under normal conditions they wouldn't even touch. when you are hungry all this halal or veg without egg bullcrap goes out of window.
  46. 2 points
Avesh is not even getting picked for the A team Unofficial tests. He could be such a great addition to our pace battery. Prasidh's omission, from our LOI A teams, is baffling. The selectors are trying really hard to showcase that they lack vision and talent spotting ability
  47. 2 points
Want to see Avesh to make it soon and Saini, Bumrah and Avesh..no idea why prasidh wasn't selected in A team.
