Bhuvneswar Kumar averages 100 in this ODI series

IMO he should only play in ODIs in England. But Anti Kohli people might think its a conspiracy.
  2. That would be fine but your point is an outright denial of a fact which is why I refuse to argue with you but you keep trying to argue with me for some reason.
  3. Not think its a, fact that Mcgill took that wicket. Stop being a moron. A wicket of a bad delivery is a wicket and run of bad delivery is a run.

Averaging 38 is being good 80% of the time?
  5. Kohli made a mistake dropping bk. Now their may not be enough runs for him to score another century.
  6. Why you so butt hurt that Thakur picked up 3 wickets? Stop wasting my time and enjoy the game.
  7. Ok who else bowled those deliveries in which the wickets fell?
  8. Gotta admit thakur been good today
  9. Lol, i remeber people saying thakur deserved to be in the test squad more than bumrah.

Guess if this is a batsman or a bowler?

If you drop him his replacment will either be axar patel or jadeja which would mean one of kuldeep or chahal would have to be replaced in by shami.

    5.3-0- 68 -1

Had an off day. A bigger issue is the that 2 out of 3 of our pacers are averaging 35 plus with ball and had another bad game.
  12. Bk is turning out to be the new ravindra Jadeja of the ODI team. Averaging close to 38 on the same pitches Bumrah is averaging 23 While Shami is sitting out with an average of 25.

Danger of heading back to 90s

Even Tendulkar was average in vs SA in SA, its always been difficult for Indian batsman. but when the t20 and ODI world cups were held their it was India that made the finals on both occasions and SA that got dumped out.

Danger of heading back to 90s

If a world cup was being held in any of those countries I would still pick Yuvi and Raina over any SA batsman ever.
  15. To me the obvious solution is to have lokesh batting at number 6 instead of manish/jadhav and Gill at number 4(cant be worse than rahane, kartik.) This way you have middle order satbility in kohli, gill, dhoni (accept the fact that he will never be dropped), lower order power hitting in pandya and lokesh, plus dhawan and rohit can score big once settled.

Danger of heading back to 90s

Gambhir, Yuvi, and Raina may not have the most eye catching stats but I remember when they were in form and well set they almost always got India past the finish line. None of the middle order batsman in the current line up give me that same type of belief apart from kohli.
  17. Kind of confused by the article. The writer himself admits the control stats for second test show that india would have probably won the 2nd test had they won the toss due to the fact that the pitch conditions dramaticly got worse after every innings, yet he comes to the conclusion that SA bowlers bowled far superior to indian ones? So had India won the toss and the series 2-1 would that still make the indian bowlers inferior? Or is he claiming pujara, rohit and co are that much superior to SA counterparts in their own conditions that they can over come the superior bowling to win a series in SA.
  18. Bk currently has a higher batting average than Dhawan and rohit outside the subcontinent.
  19. All the pitches have been poor, they all turned into minfield after the first 2 days. Complete lottery cricket.

Time to make Shami an ODI only bowler

I think if Bk bumrah hadnt been picking off top order wickets he would probably be averaging 40+ which is criminal in on these pitches.
  21. Its more about glove work behind the stumps. Patel dropped 4 chances last test. According to match reports i have read they say pant is very good behind the stumps which the first thing you should look at when judging a wicketkeeper.
  22. But even if you think Pant is too young, is Parthiv patel really the 2nd best wicket keeper over the age of 25 in all of India? It just seems like a lazy selection by the selectors who probably didn't expect Saha to get injured which is why they had no back up keeper in the Squad(patel was in the reserves i believe.) This is like that debacle when they picked Saha as a specialist batsman in a test match but this is worse because they had time to fix it before the 3rd test but didn't.

    Guha’s Poignant piece on Kohli

Shame he was never in a position of power to implement reforms that would do something about these problems.
  24. Easy temporary fix is to not pick Dhawan and Parthiv patel. Even if lokesh is injured then Rohit should be picked ahead of Dhawan TBH if Pant is as good as people say he is behind the stumps I see no reason why Patel is in the squad ahead of him. Heck I am sure their are plenty of Wicket keepers that are better behind the stumps than Patel. It just seems like a lazy selection.
