  1. This list includes all the catches that Kohli has dropped in Test cricket. The total number is 14, including all the fielding positions. Of these, 10 were dropped/missed in slips and gully, and the other four in FSL, BSL and silly mid-on. I have not included half chances and the like. These drops have cost India 597 runs (almost one-third of the 2000+ runs he has scored in Test cricket) Out of the 31 Tests he has played, he fielding has seen a sharp decline in the 2nd phase of his career - he has dropped 3 catches in his first 14 Tests and 11 catches in the next 17. In fact, he has probably been India's best fielder in his first 6 Tests when he was not standing in slips. 4th Test - Mumbai - November 22-26, 2011 - drops Darren Bravo on 23 (at FSL) - he goes on to score 48 - Match drawn 7th Test - Perth - Jan 13-15, 2012 - drops David Warner on 126 (at First Slip) - he goes on to score 180 - India loses 9th Test - Hyderabad - Aug 23-26, 2012 - drops Martin Guptill on 15 (at 2nd slip) - goes on to score 16 - India wins 15th Test - Chennai - 22-26 Feb, 2013 - drops Clarke on 0 - (as BSL) - he goes on to score 31 - India wins 16th Test - Hyderabad - 2-5 March, 2013 - drops Warner on 13 - (at gully) - he goes on to score 26 - India wins 17th Test - Mohali - 14-18 March, 2013 - drops Ed Cowan on 35 and 64 (slip) - he goes on to score 86. - India wins 17th Test - Mohali - 14-18 March, 2013 - drops Lyon on 12 (slip) - he goes on to score 18 - India wins 20th Test - Mumbai - 14-16 Nov, 2013 - drops Deonarine on 12 (at gully) - he goes on to score 21 - India wins 21st Test - Johannesburg - 18-22 Dec, 2013 - drops Smith on 1 (at BSL) - he goes on to score 44 - Match drawn 24th Test - Wellington - Feb 14-18, 2014 - drops Brendon Mac on 9 (silly mid-on) - goes on to score 302. - Match drawn 25th Test - Nottingham - July 9-13, 2014 - drops Sam Robson on 43 (leg slip ) - goes on to score 59. - Match drawn 28th Test - Old Trafford - Aug 7-9, 2014 - drops Jos Buttler on 34 (gully) - goes on to score 70 - Match lost 31st Test - Brisbane - Nov 18-21, 2014 - drops Steven Smith on 9 (third slip) - goes on to score 28 - Match lost
  2. My millipede said so. Well played, and well done!
  3. CSK should make Smith captain

Smith and Sachin would be an unbeatable combination, IMO...
  4. Dhoni scored a 50 in some 100 balls in one of these finals I guess.
  5. CSK should make Smith captain

Good idea. Sachin's mentorship helped MI win this year.
  6. Congrats MI for winning the 10th IPL

No, only MSD bhakts can decide... Yes, this is the IPL forum, so don't bore us by repeating the same 'I love my MSD' and 'I love my MSD' a billion times. Be more fun...
  7. How much Dhoni mek?

With the emergence of Pant, we need to send the best WK to the ICC Champions Trophy. So it’s necessary to put Dhoni’s form and performances under the scanner. Expecting him to score 3-4 50s and a couple of 70s in the remaining matches. Hope Dhoni comes out trumps.
  8. CONGRATS To R.P.S The New Ipl Champion's.

    Jinxed it for us.
  9. Congrats MI for winning the 10th IPL

What is this juvenile 'Ask Goenka to do this? Ask Goenka to do that?' Is anyone asking you to ask Dhoni or Srini Mama anything? Your only player is MSD. Once he is gone, you'll be sitting in a corner and sulking, because you don't care about the rest of the players. And yes, your fixer team is gonna be back. So be happy with it instead of pretending to support Pune and lecturing people around.
  10. The Great Pune bandwagon

Jump in. Have fun while it lasts. We have Captain Cheat and Captain Dhit. They'll make a swell pair.
  11. Excessive frisking in Indian Stadiums

Yeah, that's the reason only. Newspapers are disallowed too, since people make torches of the papers and throw them on the ground.
  12. Excessive frisking in Indian Stadiums

My coins don't live in wallets.
  13. How much Dhoni mek?

Pub se niklo. Stadiums and pubs are not the same. This Dhoni fan/Sachin fan feud is ICF-specific; the outer world doesn't really care as much. A bunch of viewers may be abusing Dhoni in the stadium too, but the generic 'noise' provides you the answer.
  14. How much Dhoni mek?

Dhoni actually comes close. That's the truth. The older and the more toothless he is getting, the fondness and the nostalgia of fans are growing. It's like 'let's watch him one last time, who knows if he will play tomorrow'.
  15. Excessive frisking in Indian Stadiums

Depends on the stadium. Wankhede took away 40 bucks from me for the play-off.
  16. Excessive frisking in Indian Stadiums

Kolkata had 6 levels of frisking 2 years back (when I last saw a game there). Wankhede doesn't allow you coins, Eden does - Binoculars are stadium dependant, Wankhede allowed small personal cameras this time. There is no standard rule per se, but you will do well if you only carry your wallet, keys and mobile. Anything else is a risk.
  17. Excessive frisking in Indian Stadiums

You will get no change in coins. Everything is a multiple of 10.
  18. Height of Indian players

    Kohli is 5'9.
  19. How much Dhoni mek?

Since it's all done and dusted, I can safely say that the rousing reception that Dhoni gets (Pune, Mumbai or wherever) when he walks into bat is a thing of goosebumps. The spectacle is good enough to be worthy of the price of the admission ticket. I would say it is almost 80% of the reception that Sachin used to get. It just lacks a chant (of the quality of 'Sachin, Sachin) that would linger on to your ears much after the match's gotten over.
  20. Thank you Dhoni...

Thank you Dhoni for taking centerstage in 10 IPLs and making everything so spicy. You may do well, you may fail, or you maybe completely out of form trying to scrap your way through. You'll keep things spicy and give us fodder to bicker over till you keep playing. So, keep playing IPL till we find an apt replacement. That will also ensure that the Susu Kings will be in the dumps for the next few years.
  21. Congrats MI for winning the 10th IPL

As predicted, Pune didn't win. If you would want to support the players and team, don't be a blind bhakt. This is in reference to your future team - CSK.
  22. Millipede Prediction Corner

My pet millipede is a cricket expert. He will be predicting the fate of all the IPL matches regularly from now on. According to him, today: April 15 - KKR vs Sunrisers - KKR wins - Daredevils vs Kings XI - Kings XI wins. Let’s see.
  23. Millipede Prediction Corner

Oh you meant 'Rashtra Virodhi'... I was wondering whose road has he blocked to be called 'rasta virodhi'.

Millipede's and Magneto's job is over...
