  1. Test 2 : South Africa vs Toygers

no idea. it should have 4-6 tests ideally.
  2. Ranji Trophy 2017/18

prashant chopra scored 338 before getting out... a pity since a 400 looked like a real possibility.
  3. Ranji Trophy 2017/18

yes, he has scored at a SR that is reminiscent of the butcher from Najafgarh
  4. Ranji Trophy 2017/18

should aim for a 400 if possible.
  5. Thommo - how quick was he?'

and wi is very diff too
  6. starc is pretty unplayable when in peak form although johnson's more frightening for batsmen.
  7. Thommo - how quick was he?'

on a consistent basis, it is freakish to bowl >155 kph. there are quite a few pacers who probably touched 155 kph for 1-2 balls in their entire career. bond was one. and srinath was (allegedly) another... at 96 mph.
  8. they will be pattas for warner and stewie
  9. I don't think rahane needs that many chances, because his role is already clear. he's the backup (slowpoke) opener behind dhawan and rohit
  10. Where is Aussie Fast Bowler Billy Stanlake?

boland was one of the worst pacers I saw from Oz in recent times. Almost as bad as Mitch Lewis
  11. Talent watch

Technique-wise I think Tendu was better than Shaw and Sarfaraz , but in terms of shot making skills, I think the latter duo were better at the same age.
  12. I wonder how many Rohit played before he found his groove.
  13. Talent watch

certainly looks better than Rat-man at the same age, but not Tendu or Kambli; sometimes people forget how good Kambli was before he threw it all away. Sarfraz reminds me in style of peak Pappu (Aravinda de Silva), like that semifinal against us on a difficult pitch.
  14. Talent watch

heard something similiar regd kapil. wrt sarfaraz, good to know he's fitter, etc if it's true. however, i'm not yet sold on his future test credentials. it's also a pity he gave up bowling since he was handy in his earlier u-19 days.
  15. Talent watch

Sarfaraz played a very impressive U-19 knock on a spicy pitch against WI in the final, but apart from that he seems like a short format player to me. Moreover, he has serious fitness and attitude issues at this young age. Shaw is maturing well, and could be the next Sehwag-esque fast scoring opener.
  16. Talent watch

yes, he didn't have the nous but I think he could also have done with better guidance from someone in the team. I don't think Kapil helped; if anything he hindered his entry. In addition to the two W's intrinsic talent and nous, I think they were mentored well by Imran.
  17. Cheteswar Pujara's overseas form

we had a good batting lineup for some of them. here's hoping it will continue... esp HTB Pujara.
  18. Kamlesh singh nagarkoti bowling video on england tour

Yes, Avesh is another to watch.
  19. Talent watch

I agree, but if Sri was properly nurtured I believe he had more talent than all the current Indian pacers (who are all very good already). Mind you, I''m just talking about the max. potential, and not what he realized.
  20. Bhuvi as 3rd seamer in SA Tests

this is prob the best possible team we could go with. however, much depends on vijay's form
  21. it prob. depends on the police enquiry
  22. Warner over Smith as captain.

yeah, I think the tracks will be quite flat. Khawaja will also do well on those pattas.
  23. Keshav Maharaj

Yes, I think it represents our best chance after 2011; and we could have won that series if not for Kallis (Tendu's last great Test series).
  24. Thommo - how quick was he?'

yes, there was some fallout after Bodyline.
  25. Thommo - how quick was he?'

yes, they did. WI also bowled some variant of Bodyline in 1930s against Eng. The Eng captain Jardine (who came up with Bodyline) scored a gritty 100 while the others didn't score much.
