That bat and ball competiton today between Cummins and Kohli

It Was top quality battle. Kohli vs Cummins Kohli vs Rabaada in SA Kohli vs anderson in eng these contest have made test cricket richer and rahane knock today was icing on the cake

Rohit & Shaw opening at MCG ? Thought ?

coz we only announced squad for 3 test last time out of 5, this time we have announced it for whole test series

Shubman Gill on cusp of double hundred - highlights

both are diff player, even with gill style he can be loose at times but both are special players . Rest depends who works harder

Shubman Gill on cusp of double hundred - highlights

Great to see him also keeping the ball on ground while pulling

Rohit & Shaw opening at MCG ? Thought ?

how is this a solution that u replace failure with a failure (who by the way has done nothing in the past to at an easier batting spot) atleast in bad form scored a 100 in eng. Rohit hasnt even scored 100 overseas when in good form thats the diff Why i have been talking about backing rahane, coz bad form is a part of life but they can bat n proven player, coz they will score replacementr of failure with a failure is not an answer, parthiv have batted decently at opening slot

Rohit & Shaw opening at MCG ? Thought ?

ishant was high quality bowler, chahar is not He was one of the best talent who emerged.... Konsa green mamba tha in sab men , green mamba was when amir bowled in asia cup and that i hvent even mentioned

Rohit & Shaw opening at MCG ? Thought ?

Sir jee Sehwag made runs at 6 and they cudnt find a place for him so they had to make him open. Has rohit done anything to make special place for him Sehwag fought fire with fire that is why many times he did well in tough conditions like In NZ 2002-03 tour he made 2 centuries or even fired mendis n murali when everyone was struggling Rohit is a tentative player at start who does over analyize his game, both have very diff mindset .....mindset like sehwag are rare Chappell talks about the mindset here

Rohit & Shaw opening at MCG ? Thought ?

ODi cricket n test cricket are very diff, i have no doubts about his ODI credentials Yuvraj n dhawan were better test player who had a bad fate My question is what is the thought of making him open ??? Yuvraj was made to open coz they cudnt find a place for him as he scored terrrfic ton in pak against that attack on green top in lahore Sehwag made a 100 in Sa at 6 and they needed to find a place Rohit has failed in 1st place only, Parthiv with bat is a better option at open then rohit provided he shudnt wear gloves Yes as i said if vijay doesnt play an outstanding knock retire and lets call mayank . Also whatever is the call do it permanent , even if it means u wanna open with rohit ...give him a fair shot at least

Rohit & Shaw opening at MCG ? Thought ?

what swinging condition ...just 5 overs when steyn was rested in that game, dhawan scored double the runs in that game then what rohit scored Such small examples are misleading, 5 over negotiate krna is diff then 20 overs with red kookabura Shud i give number of xamples when he failed when ball was jagging around in odi 2013 odi series in SA Deepak chahar a below avg bowler made him dance last IPL 2014 NZ odi series How is it a myth if he fails 9 out of 10 times

Rohit & Shaw opening at MCG ? Thought ?

the last time someone had a an idea to make an impact player an opener following the success of Sehwag and yuvraj singh was a better test player then rohit sharma Ganguly wants Yuvraj as opener in Tests June 13, 2004 15:04 IST Skipper Sourav Ganguly on Sunday categorically stated that Yuvraj Singh would don the role of an opener in Tests and vice-captain Rahul Dravid would continue to double up as the wicket-keeper in one-dayers. "Yuvraj is a class act. A person of his stature and ability should not be kept out of the team. I think there is a slot for him as an opener. I am pretty much sure that with his ability and mindset, he will definitely get used to it (opener's slot)," Ganguly told reporters in Bangalore when asked about efforts to include Yuvraj in the Test side. "(Virender) Sehwag never used to open before he opened for India but has done amazingly well as an opener," he said. Ganguly said Yuvraj was the first choice 'for the moment' considering his ability and the number of games he has won for India. If Yuvraj does not do well as an opener, then one might have to think of an alternative. In one-dayers, Dravid would continue to keep wickets. "Dravid has helped the team in terms of balance and batting depth. If you can find somebody who can do the job as well as Dravid has in the past two years, then we might start thinking. But at the moment, he is doing such a wonderful job, we will have to stick with him." Asked if he contemplated opening the innings in ODIs, he said: "It will revolve around Sachin Tendulkar, Sehwag and myself, what suits the team. So, it (opening the innings) is definitely not out of the question. "We will see how it goes, what's the form of Dravid and how well I am playing. All these things we will have to keep in mind," said Ganguly, who is in Bangalore for the week-long fitness camp for the Asia Cup probables, which began on Sunday. Result It failed coz not everyone is sehwag

Rohit & Shaw opening at MCG ? Thought ?

The suggestion here of Rohit n Vihari are bizzare.....i mean kya soch ke Opening is a specialist job and in overseas its extremely tough . Dont go by sehwag example who was a special player and player with such mindset are as rare as anything and he himself was not that consistent overseas. Rohit se to LOI mein run nhin bante jab ball move hoti hai , neither he makes run in test when he bats at 6....so what bizzare thought is this to make him open hoping he might score 10 runs more then current ones. Ye kaisa goal ki extra 5-10 run ban jaye
  18. Ankit_sharma03

Rohit & Shaw opening at MCG ? Thought ?

Vijay now has to play an outstanding knock to save his career, if not. Best is he announces his retirement immediately and BCCI call Mayank. M not a fan of mayank but thats a personal opinion and i Can be wrong about him so leaving that aside the right things is to call him in that case immediately and not Fcking Dhawan which i feel will happen in that case coz he is in Australia . Mayank has earned it , he deserves a chance...fails or doesnt is a diff thing

Rohit & Shaw opening at MCG ? Thought ?

wo akela shaw hi kar dega, Rohit in Odi's also takes his time before he gets going

Ajinkya Rahane has now scored 5 fifties in last 11 innings

yes his form was getting better around WI tour and then Runs in domestic wud have helped his confidence but as i said Rahane is a diff player overseas.....he was awful in India last yr and then he went to Sa and in the last test on a spicy. pitch looked at comfort . Eng wasnt a gr8 tour but can happen , those conditions arent easy
  21. Ankit_sharma03

The real unsung hero of the team

In SA - he has played 3 test and played he has played 4 good out of 6 inings In NZ - 1 innings in 3 In WI- 2 out 4 In ENG- 5 in 20...even kohli record wud be near about in england In aus- 6 n half in 11 innings Apart from england he has been consistent everywhere , he pretty much scoring 50% tour which is damn good. U cant avg 50+ overseas scoring 1-2 innings Virat is on a diff level Their is no denying he can do better but still overseas he has been bloody good
  22. Ankit_sharma03

The real unsung hero of the team

Overseas just had a bad tour in england only
  23. Ankit_sharma03
