  1. ***Mustafizur Rahman***

Since Mustafizur Rahman underwent a shoulder surgery in 2016, he has looked a different bowler. Doesn't seem to have the same venom in his bowling, tends to lose control of his line and length. It's very worrying. Wonderful young bowler, with immense talent. Yet a injury changes everything. I hope he can fully recover and start to show improvement. This thread is to follow Mustafizur. Lets hope he can make a strong comeback. I tweet about Bangladesh Cricket: www.twitter.com/bangla13c (Do follow if you are interested).
  2. Dale Steyn - Kagiso Rabada - Morne Morkel - Vernon Philander Vs. Indian batting line-up. This is a deadly bowling unit. How tough will it be for the indian batsman to handle those pacers in SA? I reckon it would be a struggle for any team. As India are a subcontinent team, the sudden move to SA from the standard slow, flat wickets can cause them big problem. Who do you think will shine amongst the indian batsman and bowlers? what are the expectation?
  3. Life after marriage hasn’t started well for Virat Kohli.
  4. Virat Kohli Captaincy thread

Being an outsider, I feel like Virat Kohli lacks leadership qualities. He is India best batsman, no doubt. I have seen him speak on couple of press conferences, and felt like the difference between him and Dhoni is big. His reasoning seem to be flawed (not sure if this is the right word to use), I find it lacks proper logic or reasoning. What do you guys think about his leadership quality?
  5. This game was copied from: http://www.banglacricket.com/alochona/showthread.php?t=49083&page=7 the idea was taken from their. It would have been nice if the thread opener at least acknowledged that. i came out with this game concept in BanglaCricket. My user in BanglaCricket is SportingBD
  6. India have played most of their games at home : Philander

Makes sense now. Some tough times ahead of India coming. Those tours not going to be so easy. We will get to find out how strong India truly are. Batting might be heavily tested, I think Indian bowling has improved a lot.
  7. India have played most of their games at home : Philander

Playing away from home against the likes of Sri Lanka and thrashing them don’t give a clear picture. The 40% of the matches India played away from home includes mostly matches against Sri Lanka.
  8. India have played most of their games at home : Philander

Yes. That’s when you will find out how strong India really is. But 80% that’s not a good balance. I think ICC look into a more balanced home and away ratio for teams, so we can get a clear idea of how good the teams are.
  9. India have played most of their games at home : Philander

Why don't ICC introduce a rule where teams are not allowed to play more than 60% of the matches home? preferable balance would be 50% home 50% away, or impose a 60% max home matches rule. Teams like India/Australia/South Africa if they play most of their matches home, they will win most comfortably. Hence, most of the stats will be favoured towards the home teams, be it personal stats or national records.
  10. Shastri is doing a great job

India is the richest Cricket Board in the world. I just don’t understand how they couldn’t appoint a genuine head coach? I still see Ravi Shastri as a commentator.
  11. Sachin Tendulkar vs Steve Smith - Comparative Analysis

In my personal opinion, I think Smith is better than Tendulkar. But, can Smith sustain this level of performance until his retirement?
  12. 4 times BPL T20 Champion. WC 2015 Quarter Finalist. CT 2017 Semi Finalist. Seven+ surgeries over the course of a 14+ year career If Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was injury free, how far would Bangladesh have gone in world cricket? Truly one of the best leader and fighter for Bangladesh. His injuries have taken many years from his career sadly.
  13. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza - ***The Leader of Tigers***

I don’t think you have been following BD cricket closely. Mashrafe has been the key partnership breaker for Bangladesh. In the key moments of the game, his played a important role both as bowler and captain. When his not bowling well, his making a impact with his fielding or little batting cameos! His not in the team just for the sake of being in the team. His in the team purely based on his performance. Amazing character and even a better captain.
  14. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza - ***The Leader of Tigers***

Begging? Stating facts is begging? his the most successful Bangladesh captain ever. How is that begging for respect? Did you ever see me say Shakib/Tamim/Mashrafe are like greats of the game? They are all legends for Bangladesh, no doubt. Mashrafe can’t play test matches, he has gone through too many injury/surgeries etc. Most players with the severe kind of surgeries he had would have retired from cricket long long time ago. But the guy is a fighter. Stating that if Mashrafe was injury free how far he would have gone would have been interesting to see doesn’t mean to say his a great. His a BD legend no doubt.
  15. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza - ***The Leader of Tigers***

Dhoni is needed for India, the same way Mashrafe is needed for Bangladesh. You can’t win anything with inexperienced players. You need a solid experienced player in the team. Dhoni/Mashrafe both perform. But people still mourn, just don’t understand why. There time to retire will come. But if they keep performing, I see no reason to disregard them in the name of promoting youngsters.
  16. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza - ***The Leader of Tigers***

Just recently he captained Rangpur Riders to BPLT20 Title. His performance with both bat and bowl was very good. Gayle/McCullum praised his captaincy! It’s the fourth time his won the BPL title out of five edition. 4 times he went to Final, 4 times he has won. Never lost a final.
  17. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza - ***The Leader of Tigers***

His the leading wicket taker for Bangladesh in ODI for last three years. His performance hasn’t declined. Not sure how you can disregard a player when his your main performer in the bowling unit?
  18. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza - ***The Leader of Tigers***

There’s one thing making a point and another being disrespectful to that player to make a point. I find that some members are very disrespectful here, I don’t mind if they have difference in opinion or if they don’t agree with the post. Opinion backed with some substance would be very useful. Mashrafe has been a excellent captain for Bangladesh. His performance has been really good also. Some members want him out of the team but can’t provide valid reasons.
  19. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza - ***The Leader of Tigers***

The arrogance and disrespect of some Indian fans is quite unbelievable.
  20. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza - ***The Leader of Tigers***

To be honest, not so concerned with Mashrafes pace. His a experienced bowler that knows how to overcome his lack of pace. The fact that his been the highest wicket taker for the past three years speaks volumes about his skill level. Not only his performance is very good for Bangladesh, his captaincy is also solid. As a Bangladeshi fan I would like to see him retire after the 2019 WC.
  21. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza - ***The Leader of Tigers***

Which tour are you referring to? the one off test? I don't consider that as a full tour. I can tell you, BD would have been much more competitive than Sri Lanka for sure, if we had a proper tour.
  22. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza - ***The Leader of Tigers***

How? can you back your opinion up? His been the highest wicket taker for Bangladesh in ODI, last three years.
  23. Big Bash League 2016/2017

Jofra Archer is the fastest pacer in England county cricket. He played for Khulna Titans in BPL. Average speed 140+ Kph. in some of the matches in BPL, he was sending in 150+ kph bolts... Genuine Fast Bowler. Serious talent.
  24. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza - ***The Leader of Tigers***

I don't know if its true. I did say it was alleged. In social media I have seen post etc talking about this.
  25. At first-class level the number is six non-whites of which two have to be black African. It is non-negotiable. For the Proteas, as the national side are known, the quota number is the same as at first-class level but it is more flexible and an average is taken across the year, rather than implemented in every match. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/cricket/2017/07/01/crickets-quota-system-has-impacted-south-africa/ They can still play Steyn and Morkel. But have to find a good combination to keep quota.
