  1. Rahane is a class player who is out of form but his indifferent attitude towards his form boggles me. As a player he brings stability and the aptitude to play long innings in tough conditions or when chips are down but lately he doesn't seem to add stability and his prowess to play spin has declined. In interview he seems to ignore that his technique and temperament has degraded and always says he is a couple of knocks away from hitting a good form. He is over confident which hurts the faith the team management has on him. Also he doesn't seem to value his wicket like a Kohli, Kedar or even a Hardik. He is useless and must return to domestics.
  2. BCCI saved Smith from the DRS case.... CA announces Starc is injured. crazy conspiracy theory. Or is it?
  3. WARNING: Some of the wickets are Orgasmic. Credit to the uploader. sorry if already posted.

  5. JP gone........ Herath gets a wickets
  6. How to drop a player who scored 300 in the last innings?

Drop Rahane.... Kohli must follow what he preaches.
  7. Karun Nair becomes second Indian to score 300

Karun 303* Wishing him that this doesn't remain his highest test score..

  10. Chennai weather/pitch condition

Stupid BCCI scheduling... Chennai gets most of its rain during North-west monsoon mid Oct to Dec period. BCCI should consider local weather trends before scheduling matches if they want to avoid a WI & SA test fiasco.
  11. L&T to build world's biggest cricket stadium at Motera 2000-2010-2016 2 2018?
  12. This Indian team especially Kohli has been instrumental in bringing in big crowds.... He has been praising the crowd where it has turned up in big numbers. He and the team also derives energy & momentum from the crowd support. Was disappointed by the turn out at Rajkot & Mohali, I have always believed that we have to conduct a annual test match at each of our traditional test venues like Wankhede, Eden, Chepauk & Kotla etc. make it a yearly tradition, a custom for the people in these metropolises to come out to watch the match with their family and friends just like the Aussie home season and the Boxing day test. Smaller venues should be getting test matches once in a couple of years. Smaller town venues can bring in crowd for LOIs but cannot sustain it for 5 day matches every year.
  13. Predict Day 4 - 4th Test - India vs England

Would love to see Kohli remain not out but go berserk in search of quick runs towards the end of the innings. Would be an absolute treat to watch. Ind 547 A.O. England 160/5
  14. whoa one of the best I have seen
  15. What is the problem with Sanjay Manjrekar?

Sanju is a lunatic, he and those who like his commentary deserve to be locked up in an mental asylum. Ya Botham was praising Mumbai, suddenly Sanju started talking about the 2005 floods and couldn't remember the year it occurred. Check this out: 2nd Test Toss by Sanju He had one job to ask what the decision of the captain who wins the toss. Even a 10yr old would have done a better job.
  16. Areas where Kohli is better than Tendulkar as a player.

For me this is the greatest inning ever played chasing..... Tendulkar almost single-handedly won the match chasing 350. Don't tell me that a 36 and a half year old Sachin couldn't raise his game under pressure and isn't FIT enough to play 50 overs after fielding. Down to earth attitude of Sachin is superior to * all attitude. That inning could have been the greatest innings ever played had we won the match.
  17. Can Karun Nair grab the chance?

Yep, Kohli does make weird decisions but he is quick enough to rectify them.
  18. Can Karun Nair grab the chance?

I am not a huge Rahane fan but he has done well enough overseas and India( twin centuries vs SA, 188 vs NZ) to deserve a extended run in wake of a serious dip in form.
  19. Can Karun Nair grab the chance?

With Rahane and Rohit injured this series might be Karin Nair's only chance. Manish Pandey could debut next match if Karun fails. With all rounder trio's batting form improving Rohit's test career is almost OVER There is no need of the sixth specialist batsmen as India's lower middle order longer now. PS: Rohit is NOT a All-rounder
  20. 125-127k bowling on day-1

Bechara Bhuvi got tired by the end of day's play.
  21. Jayalalithaa,Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, passes away Jayalalithaa demise: Condolences pour in Her demise has deeply saddened me.... Her immense legacy will live on forever and will continue to inspire millions for ages to come.. Amma was a warrior for the poor, marginalised and oppressed, A dark day in TN Politics without her fighting for downtrodden, India has lost a visionary and a true champion of the masses. IRON LADY of TN. End of an Era. #Ripamma
  22. Who is the worst batsmen to watch?

    Without any doubt Steve Smith
  23. Chinks in JINX's armour?

Ajinkya Rahane has been described as the future of indian cricket a numerous times along with Kohli. His compact technique, range of shots and most importantly temperament has made him a vital cog in our test team. Rahane along with Kohli and Vijay were the biggest positives to come out of our overseas tour to SA, Eng & Aus. Indian home season is a opportune moment to put up big scores and improve career stats. But his recent struggles against NZ (ODI's) and the subsequent dip in form vs England is worrying because when he fails we throw away the advantage earned by the top order. There is also a talk in ICF's threads that Rahane has a 'weakness against spin'. So I turned to the stats see what they say about Rahane's perceived weakness. I did find a article verifying a decline in batting average vs spin since 2012 but its outdated (nov2015) and doesn't give us individual batsman's data. So i dived into cricinfo's data pool to fish out something useful. At 3rd and 4th innings in Asia Rahane averages 36.90 which is lower than you expect but not inferior. But when India bats second in Asia he averages a dismal 8.28 which is shocker. So i checked whether he under performs when India bats second overseas too, he averages a staggering 76.00. His career average has dropped from 51.37 at the beginning of this series to 47.33. Now lets us see how Rahane fares when compared to other contemporary Indian players while batting second in Asia. Every Indian batsmen out performs Rahane even Rohit (those numbers are against WI). Why there is dip in his performance when India bats second is a mystery. Is it scorecard pressure or loss in confidence due to LOIs performance or technical weakness against spin or lack of temperament and careless batting against spin only time will tell. He has worked hard to seal his spot in the test side and there is no insecurity to it. A clear-cut anomaly exists in his stats but it is manageable. A couple of good innings should amend those stats. A inform Rahane is not only advantageous to Team India but also treat to watch for the fans.
  24. Match Day, Sunday at The SCG low turnout........ is it because of Australia's Test form or ODI losing popularity?
  25. Smith dropped while attempting a helicopter shot.
