SUMO reacted to RajBan in Shikhar Dhawan's shoulder injury has ruled him out of India's NZ tour. Replacement named- Samson in T20 and Shaw in ODI
Shaw as backup opener or SKY in middle order will be great to get a run. I am not impressed with Samson. Understand that he deserves a chance and he has improved in terms of composure in recent years, but still his IPL record is nothing exceptional.

SUMO got a reaction from nevada in Pant reminds me of Jayasuriya and Gilchrist
Pant plays best when he is playing at strike rate of 100. He gets runs with normal cricketing shots. Problem comes in LOIs when he finds he needs to blast the opposition out. Thats when he loses his balance and head position.
So atm tests are ideal for him, his normal game is destructive in tests.

I think Samson experiment will be fussss ... His domestic averages is in 30s for a reason. He just looks good and shots oozes class in IPL.
Better if he had shown consistency in ranji trophy first.
Shaw and gill deserves chances ahead of him.

SUMO reacted to Mosher in Jasprit Bumrah a baby bowler, I would have dominated him: Abdul Razzaq
Former Pakistan cricketer Abdul Razzaq has said he would not have had any problems in dealing with Jasprit Bumrah, the current No.1 ODI bowler, if he had still been active now.

Speaking to Cricket Pakistan, Razzaq said that there were many bowlers who were better than Bumrah in his playing days.
“After having faced world class bowlers in my time, I would have had no problem against a bowler like Bumrah. Pressure would have been on him,” said Razzaq.
“I have played against great bowlers like Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram, so Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me and I could have easily dominated and attacked him,” he said.

Razzaq’s ODI career lasted from 1996 to 2011. In his prime – in 2002 – he was ranked the No.2 all-rounder in the world.
Speaking about Bumrah, Razzaq added, “Bumrah is doing very well and has improved a lot. He has an awkward action and hits the seam perfectly which is why he is effective.”
Razzaq added that he has approached the Pakistan Cricket Board expressing interest in a coaching role with the country’s U-19 team, but he has been turned away for now.
During the ODI World Cup earlier this year, Razzaq had said he sees a lot of potential in India all-rounder Hardik Pandya but that there are weaknesses in his game that need to be creased out. He had offered to coach Pandya to make him the best all-rounder in the world, if the BCCI permitted it.

is it a financial issue or the need to be relevant? its just odd how many of these foreign cricketers have now started their own channels while most Indian cricketers don't seem to be interested in these things. Kudos to BCCI for taking care of retired players as well. I remember the days when Ranji players were given peanuts and were left fending for themselves after retiring in their 30s.

Mr. Kohli if you are talking about process and preparation then let me tell you your prep was poor as well. No. 4 and wicket keeper were failing for couple of years before the wc.

We must play 4 quicks + jaddu in NZ.
5 batsman + pant will be good enough for relatively weakest of SENA attack and patta pitches.

Kohli says all these nice sounding things, he waxes on about how his wife has been his inspiration, grounded him etc...but it all seems hollow talk, like he's trying to live up to this image he wants to build.

His real-life actions, behavior with team mates, selection choices all reveal a man who lacks empathy for juniors and isn't open to other opinions.

But he has learnt the politicians art of saying & doing the right-looking things, like gushing that 'I was not even 10% of Shubman Gill when i was 19'. Yet, Kohli became a regular of our ODI side at 19, and has refused to give Gill more than 2 games since he made his debut in Feb this year, despite our ODI team lacking exciting, fresh middle order batters. Hypocrisy much, Mr. Kohli?

See that is the problem he himself makes it so much about himself n 2-3 others that he forgets to build the team . Same prob with RCB.
He will stand up but all it takes is one ball for a batsman , only if he concentrates more on team then him n few others he ll have better result.

The bowler who should be credited for starting the real fast bowling generation in India through his consistent performances from 2006-2011. Must have picked close to 175-180 test wickets in that period, was the 2nd best Test pacer in the world behind Steyn in those 5 years. Bowled so many match turning spells in India and outside.

He was done by 2011 though. Delayed his retirement by a couple of years.
