  1. India vs New Zealand 2017

KL Rahul should bat at middle order preferably at No.4 or No.3 to get himself habituated. There is no point in opening if he is not gonna play as opener. Kl Rahul and Sreyas Iyer are two bats from who I have hopes to plug our No.4 problem. It's gonna be interesting if Boult, Southee plays and take one or two wickets early and how these batsmen comes up for rescue.
  2. IND ODI Sqaud for NZ series announced : Rahul Shami and Umesh out

Is it me only or anyone else feel that Shastri is involving some politics inside management to keep MS Dhoni out?? First MS dropped to No.6 position from No.5 and then dropped to No.7 , coming after Pandya. With team management not showing confidence on MS's batting, may be it has affected his keeping a little bit. ( Missed stumpings ) And Then a senior player Nehra coming into squad and retiring, saying " You should retire when people ask why instead of why not?" Now Dinesh Karthik is included as a backup for No.4 replacing Rahul. If Dk plays and scores well he can be considered for keepers position?? And Rahul meanwhile can go and play Boards XI match and List A match as middle order batsman to get himself acquainted and get his confidence back. And then he will come back into the squad replacing someone atleast in SA tour. We all know how Ms retired from Test during Australia series under Shastri. And how Kumble got out.
  3. Can we beat SA in SA in the upcoming test series?

Duminy has retired from Test cricket. That's not Sa full strength man. Expect this line up( If it satisifies their Quota system) Elgar Markram Amla ABD / Bavuma it Abd is not available. Duplesis Decock Philander Steyn Rabada Morkel/ Oliver Maharaja Even we manage to draw the series, it will be an achievement. Unless Steyn/ Philander/ Morkel/ Rabada remains injured we are not gonna see any Parnell/ Phelukawosomething.
  4. Your playing 11 changes for ODI-4 at B'lore

    1) Rohit 2) Rahane/ Dhawan 3) Kohli 4) Pandya 5) Pandey/ Rahul. KL can be backup wicket keeper. 6)Dhoni 7) Axar/ Jadeja. India should start looking for a spin allrounder. 8) Bhuvi .( Initial overs and death over bowling). Wish he can be India's P.Cummins in batting. 9) Shami ( Initial overs and middle overs bowling like Hassan Ali is doing for Pakistan). Can hit big sixes also. 10. Bumrah 11. Kuldeep Yadav/ Chahal No. 4 and 5 interchangeable. Total bowling options- Shami, Bhuvi, Bumrah, Kuldeep, Axar, Pandya Batting line upto 9. I believe Shami can bat.
  5. Can Dhoni take this match to last over??
  6. Great to see Pandya clicking. Pandya in top 6 can solve a lot of India's problem. 1) India can play an extra bowler. Can accommodate Shami and play Jadeja/ Axar in place of a wrist spinner. 2) Can exploit the spinners in middle overs while batting at 4,5 3) India can have back up for inconsistent Kedar Jadhav as Pandya on No. 5 even. Wish India play with Pandya project No. 4.
  7. Bhuvi is a must in flat pitches. Just imagine Hardik bowling to Maxwell at 48-49 overs. Shami should replace one of the spinners for flat pitches with small boundaries. India should play one from Chahal/ Kuldeep for Wc, considering pitches will be flat. Now it's okay to play Kuldeep Chahal both coz they will gain match experience.
  8. Why do we want Samson, Iyer. Let them play under Rahul Dravid and develop themselve as complete package. Only Kuldeep deserves to play in senior team and Pant for T20.
  9. If Dhoni will win this match, Then we should forget Pant, Karthik for Odi till 2019 WC.
  10. If you look at all dismissals, KL faced an unplayable delivery from the confident bowler had taken 2 wickets in the same over. Look the way Kedar got out. And look how KL got out. Kedar surely can't be our No. 4.
  11. Well India is indeed experimenting with their line up. Seems like Kohli wants to go with 2 pacers, 2 spinners(1 who can bat) and a pace bowling allrounder. And since pitch in World Cup will likely to support all pacers, spinners, batsmen equally, Kohli may go with this line up like he did in CT. I have seen Kallis/ Stokes being the 4th seamer. Can Hardik be our dependable 3rd seamer? Can he be India's Munaf Patel (CWC 11) in 2019 Wc? Are we burdening Hardik by giving him role of Stokes as well as Woakes??
  12. Exactly. My thoughts. The ideal team is said to be 4 Bats,1 Wk,1 bat. All rounder, 1 bowl. Allrounder, 4 bowlers. It makes me sad that we play 5 batsmen and call ourselves best batting line up.
  13. Yes, I think Axar is preferred over Kuldeep because he can bat at the end of innings, as the primary reason.
  14. That's not what bowlers are supposed to do. They are supposed to take wickets. He is a bowling all rounder and I feel for strong/ attacking batting line up you need four proper bowlers. Anyways It seems like Kohli is inspired by the English ODI line up. ( Heavy batting and mediocre bowling )
  15. But don't you think we are weakening our bowling by playing an all rounder at No. 8? If we need hitter at 8, we need to develop Shami/ Yadav ( although not in this series) to hit a few more sixes consistently. Sad to see Pandey out but Jadhav gives an option of sixth bowler. Can't trust Pandya and Axar to complete their full overs.
