Smriti Mandhana was Inspired by Sanga Not Gangully

solid soft diplomacy at work here... we Indians want to build good relations with all the countries in the world except Pakistan... :) :p
  7. @rkt.india also the low bounce in India is disheartening to fast bowlers. they give up too quickly looking at the impotent bounce in the wickets.
  8. 1. sure, In Indian conditions, the shine on the ball wears down quickly... thats why bhuvi regresses from a hissing cobra to a toothless tadpole after his first spell... 2. sa conditions have everything working for fast bowlers. there is tremendous amount of bounce too..
  9. Mad respect for Glenn Mcgrath and Kapil Dev. The former took loads of wickets with a chewtiya ball, the latter in chewtiya pace bowling conditions without bottle caps and reverse swing.
  10. someone on quora expressed this in a more elaborate manner... https://www.quora.com/Cricket-sport-What-is-the-difference-between-a-kookaburra-a-duke-and-an-S-G-ball Kookaburra Balls have a low seam which generally does after say 20 overs. This makes the Ball Swing more in the First 20 overs assisting the Bowling team and gradually making it suitable for Batsmen to play their Shots. But as the seam is lost, there will be no grip for the spinners. The Dukes Ball have a Good Seam and the seam holds good up to 50-55 Overs if maintained well and swings the Most. It is the most bowler friendly ball assisting seam bowlers. The SG Ball has the most upright and prominent Seam but Swings for only 10 overs in Indian Conditions as one major disadvantage is it loses its shine quickly. But the seam is intact for nearly 80-90 overs making it more susceptible for Reverse Swing after 40-50 overs and also Spinners get appreciable Drift in the air and Grip off the pitch when the ball lands on the Seam.
  11. sg and dukes have a prominent seam until the third session begins. kookaburra loses its seam within the first session, its impossible to swing the ball with negligible seam.
  12. Just because he is a NASA scientist, his word ain't gospel. I would like to hear what Wasim Akram thinks on this topic.

Hardik Pandya not a Test allrounder yet - Holding

Towards the end of the article, Cricinfo themselves couldn't help mention that holding's analysis was scathing. He always had terrible agenda against Indian cricket.

    Swing bowling Conditions in Pakistan..

Would you say conditions in Pakistan aid swing bowling more than spin bowling? Would you put playing pre-shoaib akhtar Pakistan during Imran/Wasim/waqar era in the same category as SENA? Discuss..
