  1. Who are you to tell us what match to play and what not to play. We will choose our matches, you also are welcome to do the same. But problem is you guys don’t stop begging. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. What was most bowler friendly pitch on which Sachin scored an odi hundred. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Why is PCB so fascinated about playing against India. Everyone knows the answer. These guys should be ashamed for keeping on begging .If PCB thinks they hold any aces they are sadly mistaken. PCB again proved they are run by clowns when they keep repeating the empty threats. I sympathize to some extent Pakistani fans but they also seem to be buying in this PCB propaganda of being a victim. I am sure these Srilankan politicians have been well taken care off , they are subjecting their players to unnecessary danger. SLC should be ashamed for not giving players options.
  4. But on first day wicket on green top if fourth seamer in this case Pandya is not upto mark , load has to be shared by top three seamers. He was taking wickets in this match that's why he was bowling. In my view taking those 6 wickets and bowling 24 overs will benefit him a lot during upcoming season. These fast bowlers need to know how to get tail enders out and also how to pick up 5fers.
  5. In overseas conditions bowling 24 overs in 4 bowler attack is not unheard off. It is like he is bowling 24 overs every day.
  6. Shami is not playing in odis because two Bs are bowling really well.He and Yadav are expected to be main test bowlers .Yadav is a very fit and fine athlete. Shami has not been the same since England series which is over a year ago.He needs to get some over 18 or 24 it is not a big deal in my view.
  7. Only thing I don't see in him is ability to hit boundaries not necessarily sixes. His SR is too low for modern odi cricket.
  8. Shami needs to get match fit and is rightly being asked to play Ranjis. You cannot expect them to be wrapped in cotton wool, they are bowlers and they need match practise.
  9. Oh come on BCCI *facepalm*

If I am not wrong I remember seeing a video of Shivlal Yadav talking about this stadium, how he visited stadiums all over the world and tried to design the best stadium.Best stadium my foot if it does not even have roof for fans to watch test cricket or cricket during day time. It is all about corruption there ,HCA is worst and these two Yadav and Ayub have made a mockery.
  10. Oh come on BCCI *facepalm*

How much money did Shivlal Yadav make from this stadium. Was he not in charge of building this stadium, it is an utter disgrace not to have proper drainage now a days. They are still taking public for ride.
  11. I thought he was an opener in shorter formats.I think he should insist on opening at least in shorter formats there by having more opportunity to score hundreds. That is the only he is going to have any chance to displace Dhoni by scoring huge scores.
  12. Pant is in horrible form at wrong time.He would have made case for himself at least in t20s if he made runs.
  13. Is Murali Vijay's form a matter of concern?

If Rohit becomes opener we will see Hafeez 2.0 repeated, what was it 7 ducks for Hafeez vs Steyn.Rohit days as a test player should be finished.
  14. Did this guy Fakhar get any lives in CT finals. This guy looks like pure slogger, more I see this Pakistan team more I become mad on Kohli for losing it.There is no disgrace in losing match but it is an utter disgrace to lose to this Pakistan side.
  15. Thommo - how quick was he?'

I heard it all, Vinay Kumar bowls at 151 .Akram and Thompson are medium pace trundlers.Lack of safety gear made 1980s WI bowlers into super fast bowlers from medium pace trundlers.
  16. Thommo - how quick was he?'

How does that prove that he was a trundler, or medium pace. You guys needs to stop reacting to few videos on youtube and make an assessment on greatest left armer fast bowler who has ever played this game. Anyone can bowl slow in any given spell, He played game for 18 yrs.
  17. Thommo - how quick was he?'

No one said he was faster than MJ, but he never was a trundler people are making him.He was a fast bowler not medium pace.
  18. Thommo - how quick was he?'

Lakmal to Fakhar Zaman, 1 run, 136kph, ploughing it around fifth stump channel, Zaman wanted to go hard at it, the ball seamed back in and ruins his timing. He skews it off the inner half to point and earns himself a single If Lakmal is capable of hitting 136k Akram surely hit more than 145. and also operated at much higher average speed.
  19. Dhoni needs to follow Nehra

Dhoni please take clue from Nehra and retire. You never were good enough batsman in T20s but how you were allowed to play this long is the biggest mystery. When you have one lousy half century in 80 matches, you should have been kicked out long time ago but that is not going to happen so please retire. http://www.news18.com/cricketnext/news/ashish-nehra-set-to-retire-after-new-delhi-t20i-against-new-zealand-1543289.html Veteran speedster Ashish Nehra has decided to retire from competitive cricket after the first T20 International against New Zealand at his home ground, Feroz Shah Kotla, on November 1. According to a senior BCCI official privy to the development, the 38-year-old Nehra has intimated his decision to chief coach Ravi Shastri and skipper Virat Kohli. With ICC not slotting any World T20 in 2018, Nehra apparently told the team management that it is only fair that performing juniors have a longer rope. It is understood that Nehra won't play even in the Indian Premier League's next season. Making his India debut back in 1999 under Mohammed Azharuddin, Nehra has so far played 17 Tests, 120 ODIs and 26 T20 Internationals for the country. He has picked 44 Test wickets, besides 157 ODI and 34 T20 scalps. "Yes, Ashish has told both Ravi and Virat that he does not want to continue beyond November 1 when India plays New Zealand at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Obviously, there is some element of surprise. One thought that he would like to continue till the home season against Sri Lanka. But he feels, it's the right time to move on," the senior official was quoted as saying by PTI.Nehra was recently picked for the three-match T20 International series against Australia but everyone was surprised when he did not figure in the playing XI for the first two matches."Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah are form bowlers and Ashish felt that it's only fair in the interest of the team that they continue. "Bhuvi has improved as a T20 bowler in leaps and bounds and Ashish said that the pair should continue. Had there not been a match at Kotla next month, Ashish would have retired after playing the third T20 International at Hyderabad on October 13," the official said. The Kotla T20 will give Nehra a chance to finish his injury-plagued career at his home ground. He is best remembered for his 6 for 23 against England at Durban in the 2003 World Cup, a match he played despite being unwell and frequently throwing up in between his overs. He was also a part of the 2011 World Cup-winning squad with a match-turning performance in the semi-final against Pakistan. He missed the final due to a finger fracture. It is learnt that a few IPL franchises want Nehra as their bowling coach-cum-mentor as his expertise and knowledge with white ball is considered to be unparalleled.
  20. Thommo - how quick was he?'

Safety gear does that eliminate fear, even today those 1980s WI bowlers would be the nastiest bowlers to face, every one was express and Holding was super express. When ball is bouncing chest high from short of length all the time no batsman is safe. Pommies inspite of all protective gear were scared like hell facing MJ in last ashes. MJ even at his fastest was at best equal to one of those four WI bowlers. Talking about just speed is just juvenile . Akram is like Steyn who if needed could operate at higher speeds but generally operated about 140 which is plenty because the amount of movement they generated. If you find a chance listen to Imran Khan talk about Holding's speed .He knows thing or two about fast bowling, listen to Dickie bird talk about them.
  21. Should we now play Pakistan in a bilateral contest

No need to play cricket with them but no need to abuse them either.
  22. Thommo - how quick was he?'

When Steve Waugh was at Somerset as a young man, he recalled the atmosphere in the dressing room changing a full week before their appointment with Mr Clarke. Waugh then faced what he called "the most awkward and nastiest" spell of his career. "It was something you can't prepare for." Speed is just not enough, Agarkar too bowled 140k but there was no nastiness in his bowling. Agarkar landing his 140 k and Garner landing his 140 k deliveries have different nastiness. That comes from the length at which those tall bowlers land the ball and the bounce they generated thats why IMHO this talk about just speed is irrelevant. Aaron can generate as much speed as anyone but he has no control and he is already yesterday's news.Sad thing is you can't even say he didn't fulfill his potential.
  23. How is Pandya all of sudden become a big hitter.Pandya still has lot to prove especially against fast bowlers. Most of sixes are against spinners. Rohit might be biggest hitter in this team and that is pathetic.
  24. Thommo - how quick was he?'

It was best domestic circuit at the time and had all the great players playing there so it was no gimme, just because the videos you looked he didn't look bowling fast does not mean he was slow.
  25. Thommo - how quick was he?'

People who faced Clarke in county matches swear by how fast he was , videos hardly tell how fast a bowler is bowling.
