  1. The saddest thing about Dhoni playing is that Dhoni of 2013 would've probably dropped him from the squad on the basis of performances. Dhoni is an ODI ATG, but right now he's shredding his legacy minute by minute, just like how Yuvi had done.

Chennai Super Kings influencing national selections?

4D Chess by Bangladesh, making sure Jaddu get wickets to get the CSK conspiracy going.
  3. Eh c'mon man. If we had played Jaddu in place of Ashwin in the 4th test, then the result might have been different. As for Rohit, he's probably amongst the world's best openers in ODI right now.
  4. "Dhoni's boyfriend" "RoFat". Is there no age restrictions on this website? Why are 12yr old posting on this forum?
  5. According to a Journalist, Shardul, Axar and Pandya are all been sent back. The replacements have been Chahar, Jadeja and Kaul. I was wondering why the hell Jadeja isn't playing against Delhi today. That is the answer.
  6. It's clear that the team management wanted a pace bowling option who can bat a bit. The options were either Vijay Shankar or Chahar. I'm glad that we have gone for Chahar. Also the negativity on this site is incredible.
  7. and give our team time for proper preparations before embarking on an away trip to England, Aussie or SA etc. The Aussies had a special training session in Dubai where they replicated the Indian pitches and also hired an Indian to make them better familiarise with the conditions. Seriously, the amount of training and preparation was absolutely fantastic and that's something we should be learning. Not like previous times, where we arrive in the country just three four days, play an half assed practice match where the opposition team rolls out a flat wicket and DGrade Bowlers which does no help whatsoever.

Asia Cup squad announced, Rohit to lead.... Khaleel Selected

Very good selection for Khaleel Ahmed. We need a left armer in our squad. Don't see why Bumrah is selected, should've rested him imo. Not that happy with our middle order but I guess Pandey's ridiculous form in A team has sealed his place.

Navdeep Saini bowling with genuine pace now

Yeah, agreed. I was just saying that with the likes of Prasidh Krishna, Mavi, Nagarkoti, we've quite a few very good right arm pace bowlers, but apart from Khaleel, I can't remember any good left armer right now apart from Khejroliya who's just mediocre. It'll be good to have a variety of a left armer.

Navdeep Saini bowling with genuine pace now

Personally I think we need a left armer pace bowler more right now. We've enough depth in right armers as of now. Khaleel Ahmed has been decent for India A.

    Duncan Fletcher, the unsung hero

Funny how you mentioned the likes of RP Singh and Pathan, both of them who failed to improve after looking like WC bowlers in their initial spell and turned into trundlers. Would the debacle of RP Singh being selected for 2011 Tour happen under Kohli? Like * it'd happen right now. There has been systematic improvements ofcourse background, but it won't matter much if those at the top(i.e the Captain) don't utilize them properly.

    Duncan Fletcher, the unsung hero

There's been loads of cases in previous years where our bowlers have deteriorated after playing 2 years of international cricket. There've been a lot of memes about Indian pacebowlers starting with a bang and then becoming trundlers, therefore the "improvement curve" point is fairly useless when talking in context of Indian bowlers. It's hilarious how you actually said that improvement at grassroots level is the reason behind the improvement of our current fast bowlers? Do you even know what grassroots actually means? Improvement at grassroots levels is the reason behind the emergence of Mavi, Nagarkotti.

    India squad at Asia Cup

Pretty sure that selectors won't send Kohli or Bumrah. Both of them are absolutely invaluable right now. Bhuvi might play as he's not playing the English series anyway.

    Grassroots changes have got * all to do with Ishant, Shami, Bhuvi. Infact let's see the stats. Dhoni retired from captaincy on 30th Dec 2014(http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/story/814975.html), so I'm posting the stats from 1st Jan 2015 and before that. Ishant filtered 2007-2014 61 526 31* 9.06 0 187 7/74 37.30 6 13 0 -28.23 filtered 2015-2018 24 73 11 4.86 0 62 5/51 28.70 2 4 0 -23.84 Ishant bowling average pre-kohli is 37. With Kohli it's 28. Bhuvi filtered 2013-2014 11 343 63* 24.50 0 28 6/82 30.25 2 4 0 -5.74 filtered 2015-2018 10 209 33 19.00 0 35 5/33 22.77 2 4 0 -3.77 Bhuvi bowling average pre kohli is 30. With Kohli its 22. India squad at Asia Cup

Really, really should send our Bsquad. Dhawan, Kohli, Bumrah should all be rested. Useless series, try to blood in new players.

    Duncan Fletcher, the unsung hero

Nick Compton should * off. All the credit goes to Kohli and Kohli only. These bowlers would've looked half their usual self if Dhoni was the captain. Also never forget that it was Duncan Fletcher which decided to play Vinay Kumar at WACA.
  17. First of all Bhuvi is a perfectly capable batsman so he shouldn't be counted in the tail. Three players ISN'T a long tail by any stretch of imaginations. This pathetic logic of having six bowlers meant that average **** like Raina and Jadhav gets a spot in the playing XI. Literally every team in the world has three tailenders, yet experts on here want bits and pieces all rounders in their team.
  18. Christ. Judging the bowlers by their batting. Some people are clowns here.
  19. Yeah this victory was also based on good work by Pujara, Dhawan. Blokes who you've advocated dropping.

If India has to win this series

If our batsman get our act together and the likes of Rahane, Pujara play even 70% of their potential then I want England to create the pitches with an incredible amount of swing. These English batsman are no good playing swing bowling themselves. A fit Bhuvi would've destroyed them.

Hey MSK Prasad, learn from Pak selectors

No team is perfect. England's pace bowling is crap. Saffers have average batting. Australia is a shambled. Our bowling attack is okay. Middle order is a concern, but who'd you try in middle order? For me, if Rahul cements at number four then that's one problem position gone.

Hey MSK Prasad, learn from Pak selectors

India just defeated England(who trashed the Aussie team) in their own home and yet the clowns on here are complaining about the selection committee. This place is unbelievable. The OP mentions Shubnam Gill and Prithvi Shaw, where the * would they even play? There's no place for them in the Indian Top 4 right now with Dhawan, Rohit, Kohli and Rahul. Why the * would you bring a youngster who plays in the top order and try to play him in place of Raina(as the expert OP suggested). KKR tried Gill at number 7 and he was horrendously wasted there. The fact is there's no place for the youngsters right now. They're getting good experience in India A tours right now playing under Dravid. Even if there's a slot opened, someone like Mayank Aggarwal deserves it far more right now. Shaw and Gill are still 19-20, they've plenty of time.

Irfan pathan Recent interview. What a sympathy seeker

Why are people so readily not believing what he said? This was all under Greg Chappell when half of the dressing room didn't liked playing under him. Could be Yuvi/Harbhajan. Another wild card is Agarkar who I know from someone who's been associated with Indian team is bit of asshole. Regardless, he's one of the biggest what ifs in Indian history, he was an excellent bowler and a good batsmen at his peak. Injuries didn't help his cause. Also the fact is that if he had debuted this current setup of Kohli/Shastri, then his talent would've been fully utilized.
  24. He's a *ing class act. That gesture is genuinely incredible.
