    Agree strongly.
  6. The Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018(50 overs domestic season)

Siraj has picked up 4 wickets so far But bowling 126 k to 132 k If he wants to play for India then this pace won't do.

  10. The Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018(50 overs domestic season)

What were Siraj's speeds bro ?
  11. Bumrah no. 1 in odi ranking

Bumrah will be a " top 5 test bowler " within a reasonable time too. We are lucky to have a pacer who has both pace and intelligence.
  12. Speed and performance of pacers and spinners in important matches

Found this interview of Jasprit Bumrah Showcases the changing mindset of Indian cricket Satisfied after getting his maiden five-wicket haul in Test cricket, Jasprit Bumrah said that the current Indian attack has "pace" and are not afraid of dishing out short-pitched stuff like their South African counterparts."Indian pacers have also got pace (nowadays). We are just trying to get the wickets (whilst bowling short to the tailenders). If we get it from them, we can give it back as well. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/india-in-south-africa/we-can-give-it-back-as-good-as-we-get-bumrah-on-short-balls/articleshow/62655874.cms
  13. 58 balls 71 runs - Kohli, Dhoni, Pandey

Pandey has a SR of 123 in T20Is and a SR of 120 in the IPL. A batter with such low SR is not an ideal pick for T20Is, and especially so if he bats below 4. And that is my point. He may play a good innings on a good day but we can't expect him to be consistently good. We need to find high SR batters.
  14. 58 balls 71 runs - Kohli, Dhoni, Pandey

And Pandey too And Kohli should bat at 3 with Rahul at 4
  15. 58 balls 71 runs - Kohli, Dhoni, Pandey

Positions 4 to 7 in T20s should go to really high SR batters who can hit big shots from the start. None of Kohli, Pandey or Dhoni qualify for these slots. Kohli, the great player that he is, should still bat in the top 3 in T20s. Why are be so obstinate regarding not playing high SR batters ! Why is Rahul warming the bench ?
  16. Speed and performance of pacers and spinners in important matches

What were the speed ranges of Bumrah, Pandya, Bhuvi and U'kad ?
  17. Surprised to see Thakur playing for india

Overall career stats take into account both strong teams and minnows as oppositions.
  18. Speed and performance of pacers and spinners in important matches

Dala is a strange bowler in terms of pace. Bowls 130 k to 136 k most of the time and suddenly bowls a 146 k at times.
  19. Surprised to see Thakur playing for india

You are talking about just 1 series. Anyone can fail in 1 series.
  20. Speed and performance of pacers and spinners in important matches

http://www.espncricinfo.com/magazine/content/story/766861.html You are right. Atul Wassan interview above, talking about some of the things you said regarding injury management and pacer management. We hear him raising many valid points and he generally comes across as a sensible guy. We also hear him talking about some steretypical beliefs, which have stopped us from having a pool of fast bowlers till 2015. Wassan talks about Australians Saffers and Pakistanis having better genetics than us. He talks about them having better strength and sustainability. This is the part that I don't agree with. Pacers from all countries have issues with sustainability. We have seen Pattinson, Cummins, Starc and Johnson break down very frequently. Same with Steyn. Usman Khan got injured after a couple of games. Shoaib, Zahid, Irfan were all very injury prone. Ngidi dropped pace after just 1 match. Morkel bowling much slower these days. Amir can't bowl quick in tests ... and I could go on and on. The secret is to have a larger pool of fast bowlers. This means proper replacements for the injured fast bowlers and competition forcing the injured quicks to not drop pace. Regarding strength ... Indians have done well in many such sports like weight-lifting, wrestling etc. Moreover, strength is just one of the many qualities needed for bowling fast. Flexibility, fast-twitch muscles, good bio-mechanics in bowling action. hyper-extension, etc. play a big part too. We have shed all these inhibitions now ... and are producing fast bowlers by the dozen. Speed-guns are showing that Indians are bowling as quick or quicker than most pacers of these known-for-pace countries. Yes.
  21. Speed and performance of pacers and spinners in important matches

All that is true. Zaidi was a skiddy fast bowler who could swing the ball. Was said to be really quick .... but we don't know about his exact pace as he never played for India.
  22. Speed and performance of pacers and spinners in important matches

Harvinder had pace and hit the deck hard. Srinath once said that he liked Harvinder as he had pace. Watch him bowl on a slow and low pitch below against Australia .... hurries Slater very first ball ... watch the rising delivery from 12.50
  23. Surprised to see Thakur playing for india

In his ODI career, Pandya has an economy rate of less than 5.5 in an era of frequent 6+ innings ERs. Plus, he takes 1 wicket every match on an average. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/player/625371.html Definitely performs his role as a 5th bowler, especially given the fact that he adds value as a high SR batter as an addition.
