  1. All bowlers did well.Ishant played very vital role in picking up those two wickets and keeping lid on scoring rate . Ishant has become a bowler who will bowl long spells and be economical which is very important in keeping the lid on run rates. Monga's article says it best about Ishant. Bhuvi is a must in England , Bumrah is rising star and Shami is the leader of the attack. So the question becomes which bowler has to make way for a spinner. I would be tempted to leave Shami out. Your views.
  2. Couldn't see an Ashes Series thread so figured I'd start one. @Laaloo, feel free to sticky this Thread old sport. Obviously I will have an keen interest in how Australia go given Pakistan's own born Khawaja will likely play for Australia. I cannot see Australia losing a Test. I suspect they will whitewash England and win most games inside 4 days. The (lol) England batting line up looks very fragile except for Root how will likely struggle as most English captains do in Australia. Starc, Hazlewood and Lyon will be too strong for the batting line up while Smith (best batsman in the world), Warner (best opener in the world) and Khawaja will dominate the English retirement village pace attack. I for one would be very surpised if the scoring line wasn't 5 - 0 Australias favour at the end of the series
  3. South Africa won the toss and elected to bat
  4. BCCI announced the squads for the tour in both formats of the game. Prithvi Shaw to lead India colts in one-day games & Haryana batsman Himanshu Rana has been named as the captain of the team in the four-day fixtures. The junior selectors have done a reasonably good job in picking up slightly different names for the two formats of the game. They have taken into consideration the playing styles of different players and then drafted them into the two squads. Squads: India U19 Team for four-day matches: Himanshu Rana (Captain), Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, Manjot Kalra, Riyan Parag Das, S. Radhakrishnan, Harvik Desai, Het Patel, Harsh Tyagi, Ashok Sandhu, Rahul Chahar, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shivam Mavi, Darshan Nalkande, Vivekanand Tiwari. India U19 Team for one-day matches: Prithvi Shaw (Captain), Shubman Gill, Himanshu Rana, S Radhakrishnan, Salman Khan, Abhishek Sharma, Harvik Desai, Het Patel, Anukul Roy, Shiva Singh, Rahul Chahar, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shivam Mavi, Yash Thakur, Ishan Porel.

  6. In the last match, english captain Eoin Morgan blamed the incorrect dismissal of Joe Root as the reason for their loss.Anyone who has watched Root play in T20s will tell you he is a liablity and unlikely to score freely.Today also he has most likely cost England the match. May be the Irishman should have tried to find a better reason to save his English captaincy.
