  1. New Delhi: If you have plans for Sunday with your friends or family, you still have time to cancel them. Yes, a few of your friends or family members might just get upset if you do not turn up for pre-scheduled plans. But then, it cannot get bigger than this Sunday if you are a sports aficionado. Two epic clashes are lined up as Virat Kohli and boys take on Pakistan in the final of the Champions Trophy at the Oval while the Indian and Pakistani hockey teams will also be crossing swords in the Hockey World League (HWL) semi-finals. Those who are following the Champions Trophy closely know that the Men in Blue beat Bangladesh in the semi-final on Thursday to set a date with arch-rivals Pakistan in a blockbuster clash this Sunday. While that match will start at 3pm IST, the Indian hockey team led by Manpreet Singh will also take the field on Sunday against Pakistan in London at 6.30 pm IST. The hockey teams will be battling it out at The Hockey World League (HWL) semi-finals. In the first game, India thrashed Scotland 4-1. They will play Canada on Saturday and then lock horns with Pakistan on Sunday. India is currently ranked 6th in World Hockey, while Pakistan are 13th. Teams who qualify from this tournament will play in the HWL finals which will be held in Bhubaneswar. There used to be a time when India playing Pakistan in hockey was considered as fierce a rivalry as it is in cricket now. But those days are gone now. Nonetheless, both teams will be out there wearing the national jersey and hopefully the Indian boys will win the double over Pakistan in England and give the fans back home a reason to smile. 3. At the start of #CT17, nobody would've expected an India Vs Pakistan Final. India is one of the favorite teams expected to reach the finals but for an 8th ranked team to reach the finals, was out of question. Team India fans, while hoping for a better show, didnt had much expectations from the team comprised of players who just participated in a gruelling IPL event which concluded only week before the start of #CT17 Warm Up matches. Traditional rivals as they are, both teams clashed on June 4th, with India beating Pakistan with a comfortable margin. Jubiliant Indian fans were happy the routine Pak issue is done & dusted, having shown Pak fans their rightful place and looked forward to meet the challenges posed by top teams like SA, England & Australia. Pakistan fans were obviously dissappointed. While smarting under the crushing defeat, many of them were hoping for the team to atleast win remaining league matches and qualify to the next round. The events which followed ensued an amazing turn around for their team. The tournament itself was struggling to take off due to frequent rain interruptions which resulted in (among other factors like pitch conditions, Luck & being out played) the elimination of potential contenders like SA, Australia & NZ. And Pakistan owing to various factors including luck find itself in the #CT17 Finals, having qualified ahead of India, to the jubiliation of it's fans. I shall be at the KIA Oval to witness this epic finale unfold. Thanks to OPPO for inviting ICF to send in representatives to Cover the game. I shall be equipped with the awesome OPPO F3 Selfie Expert to bring you the latest from ground zero. Stay Tuned for the pictures and videos. Also follow our FB and twitter handles for more.
