    Making the series interesting

Now we know why the team management selects has been in the team. To make the matches more interesting. Due to our middle order of Dhoni, Rayuddu, Manish, Karthik, Jadhav our odi matches are becoming interesting. In the final of the Asia Cup against Bangladesh the match went to last ball. Total paisa vassool. Shardul,Kaul, Chahar, Unadkat, are selected so that the matches doesn't become one sided, boring.Teams like Hong Kong,UAE , Bangladesh, Afghanistan should be encouraged to make records against them. If we select Rahul, Pant, Khaleel,Saini in the odi the matches will become onesided like the test match against Windies. The selector should select Odi squad for the 2nd test so likes of Braithwite,Dowrich,Chase can score & revive test in West Indies.
  5. Prithvi Shaw will make his Test debut in Rajkot on Thursday. Breaking from the tradition of not talking about selection before the Test, India named a XII for the opening Test against West Indies a day in advance. The only selection choice to be made on the morning of the Test will be between a third spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, and a third fast bowler. If India go with an extra quick, they will be handing another debut, this time to Shardul Thakur India squad: Virat Kohli (captain), Lokesh Rahul, Prithvi Shaw, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur West Indies squad: Jason Holder (captain), Sunil Ambris, Devendra Bishoo, Kraigg Brathwaite, Roston Chase, Shane Dowrich (wicketkeeper), Shannon Gabriel, Jahmar Hamilton, Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Sherman Lewis, Keemo Paul, Kieran Powell, Kemar Roach, Jomel Warrican, Alzarri Joseph http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/18902/preview/1157752/india-vs-west-indies-1st-test-west-indies-in-india-2018-19

  13. India will play a limited-overs series against the West Indies. © AFP Virat Kohli's side reached Port of Spain from London for the ODI and T20I series against the West Indies. The Indian cricket team has reached Port of Spain (Trinidad) for a limited-overs series against the West Indies. The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) posted a photo of Kohli and opposition captain Jason Holder at the team hotel on social media where both are seen smiling. The first ODI is scheduled for June 23 (Friday), but more than cricket, the focus will be on the Indian team sans former head coach Anil Kumble. Kumble stepped down on Tuesday night and tweeted his resignation letter making clear that the differences between him and Kohli were a real thing. Kohli is yet to speak about his side of the story regarding the feud. It came at a time when the team was en route the West Indies. Kumble had earlier said an ICC meeting was the reason for him not accompanying the team for the series. India, who lost to Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy final at The Oval on Sunday, start favourites for the series comprising five ODIs and a T20 International. Batting coach Sanjay Bangar and fielding coach R Sridhar have travelled with the team. The West Indies, currently ninth in the ODI rankings, failed to qualify for the Champions Trophy where the top eight teams battled it out for top honours. India had toured the West Indies last year for a four-match Test series which the visitors won 2-0. It was Kumble's first assignment after taking charge as head coach.
