Gollum
Hope this thing benefits us tomorrow. Is there some way we can force the test match to continue by withholding the names of SA players ? I don't have much idea about the IPL auction, so just asking. WC2011INDIA

Gollum
@bowl_out I dislike IPL, in fact I am kinda anti T20. Just hope the test stars remain injury free after this tournament because this is a crucial year for Indian cricket. I won't mind if some of the guys like Che, Ishant, Saha, Shami, Ashwin, Vijay remain unsold (latter 4 doubtful) so that they get a county stint before the Eng tour. Even if Saha goes unsold, he will probably play club cricket for Mohun Bagan instead Do not get me wrong -- I actually like the general premise; the legendary Australian system could be so, because international stars (Hayden, Langer, Ponting et al.) regularly played Grade cricket (Ponting famously kept tabs on grade cricket results even when on national duty, which, according to M "Mr. Cricket" Hussey, makes Ponting the "real" Mr. Cricket) ... Unfortunately, Saha's efforts are a bit wasted in CAB club tournaments, because there is a **tremendous** anti-East Zone (non-Hindi belt) bias when it comes to national selection. Unless you are a bona fide ATG, you will not even make the squad, let alone the playing XI. At the moment, we have Saha, but still there are voices galore calling for his removal. Tells you all you need to know about the pathetic state of affairs. Sudip Chatterjee, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Shreevats Goswami, Anustup Majumdar, Writtick Chatterjee, Ishan Porel, Kanishk Seth -- most have not even heard of them. And Saha has been highly praised and many want him to playbover pappu or anyone. I would play Saha in England and I am sure he will play since Kohli likes Saha, the keeper, and thats what matters most.

I believe Ishant has a role in England, I am hoping a county stint can get the bearings inside his skull tuned better. For a 5 test series we need at least 5 quicks in our touring party to cover for any possible injury/pitch, even Ishant haters will admit he is in that top 5 list. I have high hopes from him, guy gave us 2-3 matches on the platter last time and we took only 1, Lord's.
