No we don't

We don't have a single fast bowler who can run through opposition in decent batting wickets .

That makes it not so great attack. But how does it stop them from being better than others?

Australia has fast bowlers who can run through batting on decent batting attack. Doubt so. England - hell no. Pakistan - lol.

SA is only team which has done it in Australia, but then apart from that they don't have attack for Asia. They struggled even in England last time.

I would take Starc Hazlewood and Cummins over our pace attack any day .

Cummins also showed in India he can run through batting line up even on docile wickets .

They were outbowled by Yadav.

If you have to pick between Aus and India bowling, which one will you pick?

At least India can take advantage of bowling friendly conditions in all countries.

He played one test in India on a pitch where Umesh and BK ran through Australia batting so that pitch was not docile. Hazlewood, Starc all were outbowled by Umesh on last tour.

I guess posters are so much accustomed to bashing Indian bowlers that it will take some time to get out of long tradition of poor bowling shocks to realize that it's time that bowling is actually bringing team closer to winning tests and batting along with fielding is letting them down. This is probably best line up India have ever assembled and currently all teams struggle in most of the conditions. Look what happened to SA when they went to SL. They didn't play on flat pitches but could hardly match their bowling. If bowlers continue to perform like this and then probably everyone will acknowledge it in future.

This.

Our cricket culture is centered around our batsmen and can never give due appreciation to bowlers. Was the same with Kumble-Srinath in the 90s and is now much worse. Also they are the most expendable casualties in the quest to raise the profiles of our superstar batsmen....eg 90s Sachin or today's Kohli being raised to the status of mythical beings. LOL 90s wasn't a 1 man team and neither is the current one because bowlers have delivered almost all the MVP moments in our victories. The moment a bowler's stature gets a lift it is us Indian fans who will undermine that and apply more filters and Lahori logic to demean their accomplishments. The fact that we have such a dominating W-L record (with very few draws) since 2015 only indicates our consistent ability to pick 20 wickets despite shoddy catching. And wins in Asia+WI can't be overlooked because that encompasses half the test playing nations. And no they aren't any more doctored than pitches elsewhere. If all our pitches are doctored as some bitter self loathing Manju type fans want to suggest Pujara and Kohli won't be averaging 65+ (higher than peak Fab 5) at home.....we make opponent batsmen look ordinary in our conditions just like how great bowling units function.

We are absolute no 1 in these pitches while among top 3-4 in SENA...overall no bowling attack comes close to replicating such domination across conditions. SA/Aus have better pace units but please do remember how they get treated the moment they step foot in Asia...those losers can't compete in Bangladesh and yet some here want to label them best in the world :hysterical:. Australians had mental breakdowns and severe trauma in UAE while Poms suffered innings defeats after 400+ 1st innings scores in India...that illustrates the aukaat of their bowlers. Only SA is a competitor for us but with the imminent retirement of Steyn they will suffer a lot on Asian pitches....FGS they even looked distinctly second class in England last year.

The best part about Indian attack is all of them are in the prime of their careers. Can't wait for the next home cycle when we field Shami, Bumrah, Jaddu, Ash, Kuldeep. In SA and Eng batsmen and catchers have denied them glory but no force will stop them when they head back to familiar territory. SA tour here next year, let us see whether their bowlers match ours like we did earlier this year.

if ind had batted yesterday they would have been bowled out for 200

And that would have been because of poor batting. Same thing happens when teams tour India. Remember Jayant Yadav scored 100 in India. England experts and fans must have the same feeling as we have now after woakes 100.

Rabada, Philander, Steyn, Lungi, Maharaj is better than this imo.

Ishant has done better than them in SL.

They got bowling friendly pitches in Lanka and choked massively.

Is it same for India? Will Indian bowing fail this 4 times in bowling friendly conditions, that too with full bowling attack.

200 is underestimation. Under better conditions, England could not do it in first inning of first test.

Are you considering SL series performance of bowlers of both teams to decide best bowling attack in world ?

2) Average is decent but what about SR? I guess those should be very average. SR is important too.

Our current lot of good bowlers (  Shami, Bumrah, Bhuvi and Ashwin )  have test  SRs comparable with ATG bowlers of the last 50 years.

How many 5fers did Umesh take?

And no they weren’t outbowled by Umesh .Starc was the best fast bowler till he got injured and ruled out after second test

Umesh is a decent support bowler but not a lead bowler who can run through sides .

Starc can run through sides on batting pitches. When did that happen?

Hazelwood can?

Currently many teams have better away from home conditions attack than these jokers who can’t bowl same line & length even if their lives are in danger...

England, Australia, SA & Pakistan...

I can even say that Afghanistan team would’ve done better than these jokers in this series...
