But by the next WC he will already be 36, it’s a another matter if he is currently on fire, and fit. But it’s not the case, we should look forward and not backwards. Both pant and ishan are inexperienced but the only way to solve that is to play them more. Edited July 14, 2019 by IndianRenegade beetle 1 Link to comment

Tendulkar1996
Rohit Dhawan (Mayank,Shaw reserve) Kohli (Gill backup) Gill or Iyer Vihari (can bowl,Parag long shot,Shaw can also be tried as lower order hitter) Pant (Kishan reserve - can bat at 5 if needed) Pandya/Jadeja Thing to note is one of top 5 needs to be 6th bowler. Vijy
Openers: Rohit, Dhawan (short-term) Long-term: Shaw, Pant (wk), Rohit (?), Gaekwad No. 3 short-term: Kohli No. 3 long-term: Gill No. 4 and 5 short- and long-term: Gill, KLR, Mayank, Iyer No. 6 and 7 short- and long-term: Jaddu, Hardik, Abhishek, Lomror, Hooda, Krunal [lack of pace-bowling AR options is worrying. Not convinced by shankar] Link to comment
