Bangar said something similar. Clearly the leadership of this team and the support staff are all deluded. They have achieved nothing out of ordinary but think they have built a legacy like some of the best ever teams.

No wonder they think reaching a WC Semis is a great achievement.

Bigger than the WC semi loss is the pathetic show in test series in England and SA. Any team can have a bad day and lose a ODI match but to repeatedly lose test matches after the bowlers did all the hard-work to set up winnable positions is utterly inexcusable.

He played his entire career in an era when WI didn't lose even a single test series, then he has the audacity to compare our team which lost in SA, Eng to ATG teams of the past. I bet journalists interview him only because of his tendency to give such grandeur statements.

One thing to find solace is we cannot stoop any lower for hiring a coach, whoever comes in the future for Indian team would be at least better than Shastri.

High time  ordinary cricket fans across the entire nation rush into these morons' (Sastri, Prasad etc etc) social media accounts   and  treat them  with down right abuses. This is the only medicine effective for these  money minded frauds. Fans should express their frustrations with out any inhibitions  what so ever. Then only these creatures would become aware of the sentiments of ordinary fans.

It shows the pressure they all are under to dominate world cricket in same manner as WI & Aus teams did...Because they know the talent pool is there and real fans are growing impatient.

Shastri's overseas record in SENA: Aus:1-1, Eng:0-1, SA-0-1, even our best home win of recent times (beating Steve smith led Aus 2-1) came under Kumble. In LOI, we failed to win WC 2015 + 19, and T20 2016 under his reign.

Shastri can't even implement ideas he publicly proclaims just 6 months back (kuldeep will be no. 1 overseas spinner), such is Kohlis absolute contempt for him, that anything coming from his mouth is pure hogwash.

Lost interest in Indian cricket because of this doofus and the other doofus captain. Self serving praises and meaningless records is your legacy you moron

Padded numbers from home wins and cheap runs in bilateral and going predictably AWOL time after time when the heat is on even slightly - this is the MO of captain doofus and coach pompous. You don't even need a century or double century from anyone. The top order needs to cut out subcontinental shots and make 30-40 runs each. Mayank has shown that it can be done despite having technical issues or limitations. Pujara and Rahane, despite time spent in the middle, have scarce few runs to their name and captain Wrogn probably thinks that even test matches are irrelevant till the T20 world cup. Bevda and Wrogn both need to be ousted but sadly, it's not gonna happen. Wrogn will leave the game with massive numbers but will leave the team in ruins.

Aur pilao isko, next time he will even say to a reporter "We won the world cup this year too, if you remember?"

Bevda's logic - if you disregard the "45 minutes of bad cricket", we were the best team in the world cup and in my book, it's as good as winning the world cup. Stop looking at scorecards, look at how well the team played! Don't view everything through a narrow prism of wins and losses.
