Pakistan's National Assembly on Tuesday rejected a bill which would have allowed a non-Muslim to become President or Prime Minister of the country where only a Muslim can be elevated to the top posts.

The bill was tabled in the lower house of the Pakistan Parliament by lawmaker Naveed Aamir Jeeva, a Christian belonging to the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), The News International reported.

Jeeva's Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2019 proposed to amend Article 41 and Article 91 of the Constitution to allow non-Muslims to become Prime Minister and President of Pakistan.

The National Assembly, however, rejected with majority voice the bill which proposed to allow a non-Muslim to become the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan opposed the proposed legislation - Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2019 - saying that Pakistan is an Islamic Republic where only a Muslim can serve at the top.

He said that the minorities in Pakistan are enjoying complete freedom, security and their rights are being protected.

These people want to teach India about tolerance, secularism and human rights. These people !!!! Then Indian libtards keep singing ballads about Pakistan's humanity, greatness whilst also demanding Nobel Prize for a devil like IK. The most right wing extremist outfit in India is more secular, liberal and broadminded than the most liberal outfit in Pak...hell maybe all outfits in (practicing) Muslim nations. BJP has no qualms about choosing minority Presidents, CMs, CECs, Governors....aukaat mein raho Pakistaniyon. Pretty sure the Brit-Mirpuri jihadis on PeePee and PDF type excreta never allow such stories to be discussed. Even Bakis on SM are unmoved, most support this move by PTI. Wonder why even self proclaimed atheist/liberal/secular/ humanist preachers forget to highlight this, instead opening childish threads on random topics on which they have partial or wrong info?

I think we get influenced by what we saw on green ghetto by some brain washed Brit Pakistani. Brti Pakistani are the scum of the earth. They are worse than the one's living in Pakistan. in fact the ones that talk sense online or even on their media are usually who experience living there first hand. I think the average pakistani living in Pakistan may not be a saint and might hate India with all his/her heart but is usually more sensible and has a lot more awareness and they have been calling out on STD Khan's bluff for a while.

As far as our liberandus go they are worse than Brit Pakistani because because these are not some illiterate moron living on welfare brainwashed in the local madrasa to the point of no return. these are snakes who know what they are doing and some of them are cunning which makes them dangerous.

Agree with your assessment of British Mirpuris and liberandus, 100%.

But Pakistanis living in Pakistan aren't that much better tbh, see their behavior on twitter/fb or some of the other forums and sites. Brainwashed beyond repair. But those Pakistanis who dare dissent against the general opinion there, I have the highest respect...someone like Naila Inayat :hatsoff:. Since Pulwama I haven't been to PeePee, earlier I was a lurker but there were a couple of posters who were very different from the average Pakistanis, in a pleasant way. Rarity but they exist, and they have real guts....PakMil/ISI have no traits of decency, humanity, tolerance, accountability........such is the risk level for sane people in that wretched country.

Forget about PM or President, earlier Imran khan appointed an Ahmadi economist as member of his team. But upon that there came so much protest from the Muslims that Imran Khan took U-Turn and asked him to leave the team.

I believer personally Imarn Khan want to give non-muslims equal rights, but unfortunately his own party is full or religious retards.

Is Bajwa not an Ahmedi? Why no furore in that case? This single fact proves the army rules that shithole, but somehow delusional Abduls won't see it.

Also, these jokers cry about why there has been no Muslim PM in India ever. LOL.

No, it was only a false news, spread by probably the Taliban supporters (while Bajwa started an operation against them).

And being Ahmadi is such a big crime in Pakistan, that simple refutation was not enough, and General Bajwa actually organised a Quran-Khwani (Quran Recitation ceremony) at this house in order to deny him being a Qadiyani

And then Pakistani Media was instructed to post images and videos of Quran-Khwani everywhere, so that no one doubt more that Bajwa was an Ahmadi.

I don’t get it....

Immy the puppet has a very thin political resume - apart from protesting and whining about "corruption", he hasn't really delivered anything to the Pakistani public.  His party's only political track record is running the province of Khyber Pakthkunkhwa for a couple of years.  Which is essentially Peshawar and a bunch of villages.  On his list of accomplishments is the following:

  • Providing public govt funding to Taliban affiliated madrassahs.
  • planting a bunch of trees.
  • and the above, a much hyped "transportation" project that is now infamous for the sheer amount of inept bungling, outright corruption, a complete and utter shitshow.  All that a "BRT" project really requires, is widening a road here and there, and painting lines to create dedicated bus lanes for the Bus transportation.  If you feel its required, maybe put up a few fences around the bus-lane.  Maybe dig an underground pedestrian walkway, or a  bridge or two.  But even this small scale project has been massively f**ked up by the great PTI party personnel.  It just really drives home the reality of how inexperienced and out of his depth Immy is, when it comes to matters of governance.
