Actually you can. They need to focus on ramping up tests. And also focus on serological surveys. That is the only way out of lockdown by identifying the people who are immune and can return to work.

Case in point: South Korea

Aggressive testing is the only way.

I understand there are not enough tests, but ramping up production of tests is the way to go, not denying tests.

On top of that everyone needs to wear masks, especially because there are not enough tests and we do not know who the asymptomatic carriers are. Homemade handkerchief masks will do. This is NOT about protecting oneself. It is about preventing spread.

My mask protects you, your mask protects me.

Case in point: Czech Republic, Taiwan, South Korea, Mongolia

Very proud of India in this regard (as opposed to the uneducated CDC of USA, and the morons of WHO):

Focus on antibody testing like germany, not the RT-PCR tests.

People with symptoms aren't being tested.

The government is failing massively. Constant lies about what's being done. Missed opportunities and plenty of sitting on hands

Will people co-operate with tests? Will people even allow these social/health workers in their colonies? Such fundamental questions have to be asked given recent incidents.

You use the West as benchmark, and yet don't see the difference between the people. The government is proactive in its measures, now it's up to people to stop lying and instead follow the relevant guidelines.

Muslim COVID-19 Victim Denied Burial, Cremated in Mumbai

The local police and a politician then tried to intervene and urged the trustees to allow the burial, but the latter did not budge, the family member said.

Mumbai: A 65-year-old Muslim man from suburban Malad here, who died of coronavirus infection, was cremated after the trustees of a cemetery denied permission to bury his body there, his family members alleged on Thursday.

The incident took place on Wednesday.

The patient, a resident of Collector Compound in Malwani, died at a civic-run hospital in Jogeshwari East early on Wednesday.

One of the family members of the deceased alleged that when his body was taken to Malad Malwadni Kabrastan, its trustees denied burial "as he was coronavirus positive".

"This was despite the local civic authorities giving permission for the burial at 4 am," he said.

The local police and a politician then tried to intervene and urged the trustees to allow the burial, but the latter did not budge, the family member said.

Thereafter, some social workers intervened and requested a nearby Hindu crematorium to cremate the body. As they agreed to do so, the man was finally cremated at 10 am.

Talking to PTI, Maharashtra minister and Malwani MLA, Aslam Shaikh, said, "As per the government guidelines, Muslim COVID-19 victims should be buried at a cemetery, which is closest to the place where the patient died."

"But in this case, the family of the deceased took his body directly to Malad Malwani Kabrastan without informing anyone, including trustees of the cemetery, and then demanded his burial, he said.

"Strict action should be taken against the civic staffs, who brought the body to the cemetery despite knowing the guidelines," he said, adding that a day before this incident, another coronavirus victim had been buried at that cemetery.

The son of the deceased said, "After my father was declared dead at the hospital no one came to help me. I kept sitting beside the body outside the hospital for more than three hours."

"We wanted to bury his body at the Malad-Malwani Kabrastan. But when we reached there, the trustees of the cemetery refused to allow the burial saying he was a COVID-19 patient," he said.

"After the intervention by the police and other authorities, the body was cremated at a nearby Hindu shamshan bhoomi (crematorium)," he added.

Local Samajwadi Party corporator Rukhsana Siddique said, "When the civic staffers know that as per the circular, a COVID-19 victim should be buried at a nearby cemetery, then why died they took the body to Malad (West) although he died at a hospital in Jogeshwari (East)?"

The corporator, however, expressed shock over the denial of burial of the body at the cemetery.

Journalist Booked for Questioning UP CM Yogi Adityanath's Visit to Ram Janmabhoomi Amid Lockdown

The Ayodhya police booked a senior journalist on Wednesday for raising questions on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visit to the Ram Janmabhoomi for a religious ceremony amid the lockdown over the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The FIR mentions a tweet by Siddharth Varadarajan, editor of news portal 'The Wire', where he said: "On the day the Tablighi Jamaat event was held, Adityanath insisted a large Ram Navami fair planned for Ayodhya from March 25 to April 2 would proceed as usual and that 'Lord Ram would protect devotees from the coronavirus."

Varadarajan had clarified in another tweet that it was "Acharya Paramhans, Hindutva stalwart and head of the official Ayodhya temple trust, who said Ram would protect devotees from coronavirus, and not Adityanath, though he allowed a public event on 25/3 in defiance of the lockdown and took part himself".
T
aking the suo-motu cognizance, Faizabad Kotwali police station incharge Nitish Kumar Shrivastava registered an FIR under sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 505(2) (statements conducing to public mischief) of the Indian Penal Code for doing "disreputable" comment against the chief minister.

Reacting to it, Varadarajan termed the FIR "politically motivated, saying that the offences invoked were not even remotely made out

Rocky puttar, you have no idea what you are talking about.

Varadarajan made up fake quotes and attributed them to the Chief Minister - he took words of some crazy Sadhu - that Paramhans dude - who is someone thrown out of his religious organization, and claimed that the Chief Minister said it.  He published fake news.  That's illegal.  His "clarification" on twitter came after his crime was caught and exposed.  Hence the legal proceedings against him.

But again Rocky Puttar, you are free to choose to believe what you want.  I know that ignorance, propaganda, and brainwashing is a must if you want to stay loyal to PakMil's slavery.  Because the truth will not set you free, it will only shine a light upon the miserable reality of your slave-like existence.
