Reset the clock after nine days. It is scary to even imagine India having a second wave. This happened in hong kong they had lockdown for few days and greedy folks opened and they got hit with a deadly second wave. India has to wait nothing will happen if we stay home little longer. I understand the poor people will suffer but it is onus on state and central govts to feed people. you have to choose between lives or livelihood forget about economy we are set back for few years.

Second wave? India is just starting the first wave. And the first wave itself could be devastating.

Its mind boggling how so many people have just assumed that India is doing fine, when in reality, we simply do not have enough data to justify that.

Yes, its possible that we don't have a massive outbreak, but can't afford to be wrong. Because being wrong means a cascade of deaths in thousands to lakhs.

Even those who recover from COVID are left with reduced lung capacity.

No way lockdown ends on April 14th. Each country which is infected takes at least 3 months to recover. China has been suffering since December and recently only things are getting back to normal for them. The lockdown has to continue until may-june at the earliest, for India to recover fully. If they reopen everything in haste, then there will be a wave worse than Italy or USA to hit us. And we are not prepared or economically/medically equipped enough to deal with such situations.

China still has pockets of the virus. Vaccine is the only hope.

Lockdown must go on, we have a soft underbelly with our poor health infra and massive population. No room for complacency, because when (not if) the **** hits the fan post relaxation we will get screwed worse than we have ever been since 1947. Moving the migrants to their home towns was an arduous task, took 10 days, lots of sacrifice and suffering, hope this arrogant govt doesn't do comedy by shifting them back and forth every few days thereby exposing them to risk. Let economy take a hit, we aren't the only victims, we can recover if we get through this public health disaster.

Lockdown should be removed with some restrictions like banning interstate travel. States will lower amount of cases will be opened with interstate travel being banned. All flights and trains services still shut.  Gathering of more than 50 banned, etc. If you remove tabligis, we have done very well.

And why do you think we don't have enough data? Any basis for that? There hospitals in every small town from pvt to govt reporting cases to central govt. So it's unlikely that cases are under reported. Once all these jamati are found and effect of this lockdown takes place, cases will come down even more.

There is no first wave in India. Most of the cases coming out now are of Jamatis which happened before lockdown.

Most likely hoga hi. Or it would be left to the discretion of individual states to enforce it the way they see fit.

In any case, thing won't return to normal so soon.
