MS Dhoni wants to play IPL for 3 more years

Quote

"It's a known fact and he told his close friends too that he wants to play for IPL for at least three years," our source stated. "He personally really enjoys playing for the franchise and the enthralling nature of the IPL. He is all but done with international cricket but IPL is something he wants to build his post retirement career around."

@velu How come you haven't posted this as yet? :dontknow:

No one should have any issues as long as his ipl performances are not used to put pressure on the ones playing for the international team

But that's exactly what Shastri and other experts are doing. There's lot of talk about Dhoni's chances getting diminished due to no IPL, as if IPL is some kind of qualifying exam to get into the national team. Dhoni has already milked IPL to cover up his failures and diminishing skills. He should no longer be allowed to do so.

I know. Thats is the only reason why Dhoni continuing to play IPL scares me, otherwise whats the harm in someone playing IPL for long

A good player like Dhoni in his Prime would probably win 10  matches out of 10..Once past his peak, he can still win 7 to 8 games and lose 2 or 3.
As Jaddu asks, the alternative that we have are they good enough to win 5 games on their own?
The answer obviously is No, and so he can easily play for the next 2 or 3 years...Atleast for CSK
