Mumbai - 20 million, 757 deaths

Deaths Per million = 37.8

Delhi - 20 million, 166 deaths

Deaths Per million = 8.3

UAE - 9.9 million, 227 deaths

Deaths Per million = 23

Daily Deaths seemingly peaked at 12 and come down to 4-5 .

add Karachi, lahore, Dhaka etc. if anyone has the data.

Comparing these cities due to similar people, similar demographics by age and similar climate.

I think daily deaths in big cities like Mumbai Delhi would have peaked, now  forming a plateau and will start to decrease. Now smaller cities towns villages will have more deaths unfortunately, after which covid19 will ebb off somewhat

NJ 10582 out of 9 mil. 1175 deaths per million

Weather and demographics by age decisively matter.

For ex. India is 4.5x US population. Yet in 75+ age-group India and USA has same number of people, meaning USA has 4.5 times more older people in percentage terms....in 85+ population, USA probably has more people than India which is 4.5x its population.

For better estimates I will compare Qatar (warm weather and young demographics) with NY, NJ and Massachusetts:

Order is Tests per million(TPM), Cases per million(CPM), Deaths per million(DPM)

-------------NY-------76500, 18600, 1473

--------------NJ-------58800, 17000, 1192

Massachusetts-69100, 12700, 862

-----------Qatar--------57800, 12400,   5

Why is DPM for Qatar 200 times lower for same TPM and CPM numbers?

Answer is younger demographics and weather.

Which is why you should compare Qatar, Delhi, Mumbai, Karachi Dhaka etc. comparing with NJ NY etc. gives wrong picture

The first wave had to deal with a massive lockdown, which isn't a long term option.

Modi induced....a leader has to be dynamic, change policy according to evidence, which Modi wasn't.. lockdown wasn't serving purpose beyond 20-30 days.. people also don't have buffer beyond 20-30 days... economy destroyed. People under extreme pain and distress thanks to political class.
