Now enter, Guru Gobind Singh, the visionary, the poet, philosopher and revolutionary who would turn ‘sparrows into Hawks’ by uniting the Sikhs into the Khalsa. Waho Waho Gobing Singh aapay Gur chela. (The Guru himself became the disciple by taking ‘amrit’ himself from the disciples. After the battle of Chamkaur, he publicly shamed Aurangzeb with the Zafarnama. Having fought multiple battles, Guru Gobind also sacrificed his sons, 2 were bricked alive for not converting to Islam and older died in battle. Here’s a family whose three generations were sacrificed. Submission by being joining the Mughal Army would be in flagrant contradiction to his character and principles as displayed by his earlier strong opposition and revolutionary insights. Mere mention of a meeting between him and Bahadur Shah doesn’t indicate that he became subservient to the Mughals via service. Once again, this has been refuted by Banerjee in The Evolution of Khalsa. Not to mention, this is account from the rivals, the Mughals. If that were the case, the Sikhs would have come under the fold of the Mughals. Furthermore, if he did become under the reign of Mughals, why would he be killed by muslims? Yet after the demise of Guru Gobind, Banda Singh Bahadur led in battle against the Mughals and Bahadur Shah. This would pave the way for Sikh misls in the future and eventually unifying them under Maharaja Ranjit Singh to form the Sikh Kingdom. Well this guy isn't anti-Hindu per se. He made light headed fun of Christianity as well in his other jokes. In real life, he teaches yoga, he teaches Carnatic music and is a professional Carnatic singer. He also prays to Hindu gods. Basically pro Indian culture and anti-west. So this comedy was just light headed. Nothing as crass or offensive as Surleen Kaur. So I wouldn't go far as to say all jokes on hindu should be taken action on. Context and background is required. She has apologized vehemently after trying to blame ITCell to ShivSena Boss Shivaji is respected all over India, but revered and worshipped in MH. She should’ve known that.
