Trichromatic
Quote Indian cricket team captain Virat Kolhi seems to be in trouble with a serious complaint of breaching the 'Conflict of Interest' clause under BCCI rule 38 (4) has been filed with Board's Ethics Officer D K Jain. Republic TV accesses the copy of Complaint letter filed by Sanjeev Gupta, Life Member, Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association which points out the violation of BCCI's rule 38 (4) and alleges: ‘Kohli holds two posts: one as player and captain of the Indian team and other as a Director of Sports marketing company which contracts fellow Indian cricketers’. It further alleges: "Kohli is the Director in Virat Kohli Sports LLP and Cornerstone Ventures Partners LLP and his fellow directors in these companies are the directors of Cornerstone Sport and Entertainment Private Limited which manages Indian captain’s commercial interests and also signs other cricketers." "Annexed is the complaint dated 4 July 2020 under BCCI Rule 39(2)(b) against Shri Virat Kohli for breaching BCCI Rule 38(4) ." https://www.republicworld.com/sports-news/cricket-news/virat-kohli-in-trouble-complaint-of-conflict-of-interest-sent-to-bc.html Khota, beetle and Rightarmfast 1 2 Link to comment
Trichromatic
Ganguly brand role raises conflict of interest issues Quote In what raises questions of potential conflict of interest, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly on Saturday appeared in an Instagram post wearing a JSW Cement (Jindal Steel Works) T-shirt while “at work” as the company’s brand ambassador. JSW Sports, the sports arm of the business conglomerate JSW Group, is, along with the GMR Group, the joint owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals. https://indianexpress.com/article/india/bcci-president-sourav-ganguly-conflict-of-interest-jsw-cement-t-shitrt-6490643/ sscomp32 and Khota 2 Link to comment

Stan AF
This sort of bullshit is allowed to happen only in our country. That the captain doesn't realize this and has been doing this for quite sometime is a crying shame. I guess he didn't care about it much since there was a precedent already set. This sort of bullshit won't fly with other renowned sporting bodies in the world. That the BCCI is toothless to do anything about it and needs the name of Supreme Court to fall back to carry out the most basic things is the reality of sports administration in India. I guess it doesn't help that there are mostly politicians filling the jobs there. End of the day Money rules and not laws. beetle and Khota 2 Link to comment
