She may claim to represent African Americans, but in no way does she really represent them. Her ancestors were not enslaved by American slaveholders, her childhood was spent in the relative comfort of an upper middle-class home and she grew up unlike most African American kids. Now, that alone is not disqualifying, but it is laughable for her to try and claim to represent them. FWIW, I felt the same thing about Obama - the son of a Kenyan elite and a middle-class white mother, the only thing he shared with AAs is his looks. Does she really represent Indian-Americans? But, now that she has accomplished this, she is one of us! My first choice was Tammy Duckworth, but she was born in Thailand, so wouldn't be eligible to be President if ya know ... It would also have been apt to pick a Southern Black woman like Keisha Lance-Bottoms or Stacey Abrams who know what it is like to be Black in America. But he went for name-recognition and fund-raising prowess. Biden-Harris' most important qualification: Not Trump.
