saneindian
Read somewhere that Hughes, Pattinson, Siddle and few other Aussie pacers will be landing in India once the team is named this week. Link to comment
saneindian
Warner not coming would be a huge blow for Australia. He would have plundered runs against our attack. Hope he recovers and get fits by the time 1st test starts, 3 weeks to go Link to comment

Hope he recovers and get fits by the time 1st test starts, 3 weeks to go Lol..are you serious? He hasn't got the class of KP in Test cricket to do that. Was struggling to put bat on ball in West Indies where the ball wasn't turning a lot compared to here. He might have hammered us at Aus but I don't see him having that class to do the same here. Clarke
Warner wasn't great against spin but he was one of their somewhat established players, it does hurt their chances. Link to comment

Point made based on a few things: - He's a left hander - Has had an up and down career - Has looked susceptible to spin so far Jimmy Adams, Hayden, Flowers, Chanderpaul, Cook, Srrauss, Darren Bravo , Ryder etc all of whom who have had a few things common with Warner either launched / relaunched their test careers in India against better spin attacks than the present one.. All it will need for him to score 100s at will is a few 4s in the first 3-4 overs, Dhoni will gift him with well spread fields which no other skipper recently would have given. Link to comment
1983-2011
Australia name 17-man group for tour of India Squad David Warner, Ed Cowan, Phillip Hughes, Shane Watson, Michael Clarke (capt), Usman Khawaja, Steven Smith, Matthew Wade (wk), Glenn Maxwell, Moises Henriques, Mitchell Johnson, James Pattinson, Mitchell Starc, Peter Siddle, Jackson Bird, Xavier Doherty, Nathan Lyon. Pagalpanti
Possible XI Warner > Sehwag Cowan > Gambhir Hughes = Pujara Watson > Tendulkar Clarke > Kohli Khawja/Smith = Rahane/Jadeja/Rohit Wade = Dhoni Johnson = Ashwin Pattinson/Starc > Ishant Siddle > Sreesanth/BK/Shami Lloyn < Ojha IMO On current form, India have only one player who is doing better than the Aussies. Tough series ahead for us. Link to comment
maniac
If we make stars out of henriques and Hughes......then I will quit following Indian cricket Link to comment
India-KXIP fan
Surely Australia cannot win this series. No seamers made a huge impact in last series, the England spinners had the most wickets and best averages. Australia doesn't have 2 quality spinners, Lyon is decent at best and inexperienced in these conditions. My prediction is India somewhere between 2-0 and 4-0 Link to comment
Precambrian
Isnt there a restriction on number of players in a touring squad? Shameless Aussies trying to plug in maximum - after all will it be not India who will be bearing the expenses of food and stay for these many? Link to comment
Dumbbells
This is my another prediction here. Usman khawaja is gonna score huge in India. Link to comment
