Top three slots permanently sealed for Gayle :nice:
top 3 slots in points table too sealed till next RCB match...Doubt if either CSK or SRH will have a big victory to overhaul RCB net run rate. Anyway next match is between CSK & SRH

Seems like top 4 is decided already. SRH should struggle cause of their pathetic batting despite their bowling. Don't expect them to make the top 4. Mumbai has gotten much better cause of KKD and Smith and with Malinga yet to strike full form, things are looking good for them. Gayle will single handedly get RCB the wins needed to make the top 4. Chennai has won a bunch of close games so far and they typically get better as the season progresses. RR depends a lot on Watson, so they are on shaky grounds there. A team like KKR can squeeze into their spot if they put together a few wins. Other teams might as well start planning for the next auction.

CSK and MI will reach the playoffs. Easy peasy. They are the most balanced teams. RCB should win four more matches to reach the cut-off - 20 pts. Two of them are at home. They should be thru. SRH have been good at home. Their bowling suits the slow HYD wicket. They play five of the remaining seven matches at home. The last two against potential contenders for fourth spot in RR and KKR. They would need to win four of their remaining home matches, I think. If KKR wins tomorrow then it could get interesting. Else it would be SRH and RR fighting for fourth spot with RR coming out on top in the end.

Well it looks Shane Wataon is clombing up slowly for that orange cap. 200 runs in last 2 games is realy gud for him and RR. Now then RR seems to be atrong contenders for the play offs aswell, with Watson hitting form and just like bat if gets going with ball then only dravid can stop then from top 4. Faulkner,Watson,Chandila all in great form with ball

Not sure about KKR but out of 8 games, we need to win 4 & 3 game are in Jaipur.
